Any of you Georgia/Florida/Alabama guys going to be able to make it this Saturday 11/22? I would like to be able to meet those that might attend if possible.

Nah; it's just a heavy station wagon. I'm not one of those guys that pop off just because I have a few mods. Races are races; you win some you lose some and it is actually rare that I even race anymore. As a matter of fact, this is my first and only trip to the track in 2008. Really, I wanted to be able to meet some folks with G8's if possible. I have a buddy that bought one for his wife and I really do like the cars. I am not a staunch brand addict, I like all performance cars and the G8 happens to be one of my favorite cars for all of the same reasons that you guys that bought yours. It just turned out to be two years later than my being in the market.

I'll be there hanging out w/ my old GTO crew! Stock PB G8 GT. I normally race there alot but I sold my GTO and my Trans Am is being built now, so its just the G8 for now. But I may run it to get a baseline!

As far as I could see I was the only G8 to show to the whole event. Alot of people were impressed when I took my bonestock GT weighing in @ 4245lbs w/ me in it and ran a 13.8 @ 100.67mph w/ 87 octane fuel! Had a sorry 2.1 60ft on the street tires and never even tried to do better. I was happy considering the weight, the est. rwhp etc. I got alot of "Did that G8 just run in the 13s? stock. LOL! 87 Octane? Bull shyt!, "Nope its true"!

Whstlr,
I saw your run today. I was over near your car but did not see anyone standing near it at the time so I was hoping to run into you at some point later in the day. Yeah, definitely impressed with how your car ran. The track was in pretty good condition although the temp never went above 50 degrees I believe. I popped three times today, all mid 12 second. Best of the day was 12.541 @ 112.43 mph. Race weight was 4480 with me in the car and I ran the tires as I do on the street at 36 PSI. Stock 20" wheels and Proxes 4 tires. I do believe that the car has about 2 more tenths and an additional 1-2 MPH trap speed in the car. I screwed up on the other two runs and still ran 12.803 and 12.664. Not bad today as I was shooting for a 12.5 to 12.6 pass. A good amount of cars there today and some good fun. Sorry I missed you bro.

I'm just razzing you a bit. So you have a station wagon that turns mid 12's. That makes it even worse! Seriously, it's great you have such a fast car, a real sleeper.
