Hey guys I've been browsing this website for a while now, and finally went ahead and joined. I am in the process of demodding my 2001 GTP, and I have actually already sold every part and made a nice chunk of change doing so. I had it decked out pretty well, with a 61mm turbo, intercooler, cam, built trans, heads, full exhaust, cutout, and methanol injection. I ran a best of 11.90 and that was before the methanol. Never got it to the track or dyno after installing the meth injection, because I blew a channel plate gasket in the trans when out testing and tuning with the meth injection. I was going WOT at 75 mph, STILL SPINNING THE TIRES on 18 psi, and at the 2-3 shift the trans gave up the ghost.

I then decided to finally pull the trigger (after 6 years of spending countless hours and dollars under the hood of the GTP) and demod. I'm ready for something new, something RWD with a manual tranny, and a V8. The G8 GT will fit the billl perfectly. I'll be selling the GTP bone stock, banking the $, and getting an '09 G8 GT 6M at the end of this year. I'll immediately put a few mods on it like headers, full exhaust, intake, a tune, some tinted windows, and slight drop (1" or 2"). Then maybe later on down the road some forced induction or at least a nice streetable cam.

Welcome! I'm right there with you on the wait. I'm going to try to hold out for the MN6 also, but it'll be hard. I know once i start seeing G8's around here that I'll be tempted to go test drive an auto and who knows???
