Once this sexy car comes out...I wanna sell off the 19's and put some 20's or 22's.

Do they make an exhaust, lowering springs and or cold air intake system for it?

How much do u think the wheels should go for? Some Ideas...

Thanks

Welcome! Nice rides! Time to update the iron? You might want to check on the Holden site for some of your stuff, or just check thru the threads here! Lots of advertisers and advice. I have read the Aussies version can be had with 20" wheels, just like the concept last year.:boink:

Welcome !

Personally, I think 20s are the absolute maximum you would want to go - beyond that it would look a bit cartoon-like, like a 300C.

As BBBGXP said, check out www.ls1.com.au , www.justcommodores.com.au and other Holden related sites - The car has been on sale in Australia for nearly 2 years and is the biggest selling car in Australia and New Zealand, so there are plenty of mods available. Have a look at www.jhp.com.au and www.capa.com.au for some ideas.

Welcome dollar bill !

Sadly, it is unlikely your current rims will fit - the pattern is 5/120 and I'm pretty sure the GP is different.

I can't imagine what it would look like with 23s - make sure you post some pics if you do it !!

This is the problem when you have a 50 cent concept :(

Hmmm. Thats extremely odd isszy. I figured since the G8 was a seamingly large RWD, 22's wouldnt be a problem. Compared to a GP which is FWD. RWD's somewhat have a history of large tire areas. Not only that, but, i thought this was going to be a full size sedan? Lookin at those 20's at the top of the page, i think 22's wont be too hard, especially since they confessed that the concept G8 was lowered an inch or two.

Truthfully, the reason why i wanna go all out, beside the fact that i luv chrome, is that i see chargers with 24's on 'em. Before that, the only thing i seen rims that big on was ol' school sedans and coupes, and SUV's. They all(charger and G8 included)have RWD in common. I'll make em fit!!!:turbonaughtdy_1:

Going with those kind of wheel sizes, make sure you upgrade your brakes! Big heavy wheels are notorious for overheating and destroying brakes. Personally I think the "sport" 19's are even too big, there's nothing sport about wheels that big, its all physics ;)

22's will fit, just not the ones you have one your GP - the stud pattern and offset are different.

Right. The Grand Prix has a 5x115mm bolt pattern. G8 will be 5x120mm.

And GTOs and G8s are hub centric.

And GTOs and G8s are hub centric.

Factory wheels are. Most aftermarket wheels aren't. They are designed with an oversized bore (center hole) in order to fit multiple cars/trucks. Example: GTO & BMWs use 5x120mm pattern. But, because of the bore size, the BMW wheels will fit GTOs, but the GTO wheels wouldn't fit the BMW. Aftermarket wheels with the right bolt pattern will be sized to fit the BMW. So, that same set would also fit the GTO.

Is that saying that the grand prix is larger than the G8:confused:???

No. The bolt pattern of the G8 is bigger.

A nice set of staggered deep dish BBS or ASA wheels would look great.

I saw the G8 in person at the Chicago Auto show. With the Polished 19s, there was barely any tire.. I don't know how anyone could stand the ride with anything bigger.

Personally I would spend the $$ and put some better sways, shocks, and springs.
