Maybe, March is the cut over date for 2009 G8's, which will make for few 2008's. Note, Edmunds said that there will be 7k 2008 G8's on soil at launch of the 08 G8.

I think the ship is already here. I would expect to see them on the street before March 1st, but probably not too much before.

It could be that even here, with G8's on the ground in customs, that the official launch date is not until March. Launch of sales has limited connection to change of model year designation. It is also quite possible, that since we know the 2008 G8 did not pass Canada's stricter bumper standard (may simply not have been tested) that G8s shipped to Canada even as we speak might be labeled as 2009s. It's just a window sticker and a digit in the VIN.
