I just moved from Texas to Arkansas.

Its colder here than Texas but ive began to experience a odd noise when I backup and turn in the mornings. Sound comes from right front side.

Its like when the wheel is turned it sounds as though something is grinding or scratching.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Cold weather might be to blame.. or should i take it to a new pontiac dealer to check it out.

same problem...sounds like an old door creaking...only happens first couple of minutes after start up (ie pulling out of the driveway)

Same here. It lasts about 1/2 second and it seems like it only happens when I turn from lock to somewhere near the middle (like when I am pulling out of the driveway). Odd.

I wonder if it is the front strut rubing problem that some of the GTO's had?
