: The large display screen beside the instrument panel
DollarBill 02-01-2008, 02:43 AM Will that large red and black display screen beside the instrument panel be similiar to the smaller one in the grand prix(showing the name of the the vehicle when the ignition is turned on, showing outside temp, etc.) in addition to what it shows in every other screen i've seen(the oil and volts)? If oil and volts is all it shows then that is a big waste of electronics!!! Since that screen was larger than the one in the GP, i'd figure it'll be better too.
DollarBill 02-01-2008, 02:55 AM Before sumone gets on to me for posting a thread that already existed, i didnt quite stumble upon the gauge thread until the last minute. I still could use a reply though since no one posted anything that answered my question.

Don't forget. The oil pressure measurement is in bars, not PSI. The rest of the world is trying to get us to go Metric. :gr_jest:
DollarBill 02-04-2008, 12:48 PM For what i dont no! No one wants to go by kilometers! 200 miles=320 km! If u said 320 anything, no one even wants 2 hear it if u talkin bout drivin! Anyway, what about the rest of the infi that the GP shows on its screen? Will the G8's show all that?
granatelli 04-18-2008, 05:35 PM Hate to be a nitpick but the plural of bar is bar.... Sorry, I'm a pedantic engineer.
Rob Moser 04-18-2008, 06:59 PM So... you haven't figured out all the other things that panel shows?????
I'd tell you how, but then I'd have to kill you!!!!
Insane
Rob Moser 04-18-2008, 07:01 PM Truth be told--- I mounted my Garmin GPS so I don't have to look at the damn things.....
(NOT) Insane

drob8 04-18-2008, 08:56 PM Speaking of KM...I find it kinda funny that there is a KM light on the spedo, but no corresponding KM numbers. Does the spedo just move at a different speed, or is KM worthless?

Does the spedo just move at a different speed, or is KM worthless? It's kinda cool, it recalibrates to the Kph speed (uses same numbers on the spedo), if you change it while driving, it goes up quite a bit, I fooled my son that we were doing over a 100 (really 62mph) by changing it to KPH, everything else changes too to metric.

Now thats funny!!! Wait, then that means.....in KPH mode it can barely go over 110mph!!! :banghead:

Is there a known cure for that? :p

Better yet, you'll be able to 'bury it' at 180!
KPH that is.
