So besides pedders, what other coilover options do we have? I have been looking for somewhere to buy some but have came up with nothing so far...

Any reason that you have decided that the Pedders Coil Overs are not for you?

I'm wrestling with this same decision. And for fear of starting the normal onslaught of Pedder's love I think that its only normal for someone to research all available options for their vehicle before plunking down a good chunk of change. Also, regardless of what you read on this board and the GTO boards Pedders is not universally loved, corner-carvers for instance. That being said, I'll likely go with the Pedders when I buy but I do find it comical how every post similar to this on the board heads almost imediately in this direction.

This is none of your business, actually. And in spite of how nice your words might be, your post in this thread is nothing short of aggressive.

The original poster stated that he is aware of your offering, so you can rest assured that if your product is as great as you seem to think it is, you will get the sale. Otherwise, kindly step aside and let the OP gather the information he is looking for.

I will be honest. I was considering the TEINs, but was not willing to spend the money and got a SICK deal on my Pedders. That is why I bought the Pedders coilovers. I just have the regular Extreme coilovers. I just wanted to have ride height adjustability and didn't care about all out performance handling, so I jumped on the best deal I could find!

Thanks for your input, No one is loved by everyone, but the bottom line is that more people have Pedders on their GTO than all others combine. But i can 100% agree that not everyone loves us. Then again, who's better Mac or PC? Depends what you want.

While i try to not stoop to your level, STFU.
I asked a question that was completely non aggressive and you have again chosen to start crap in a thread.

I asked because i can't see why someone would choose to by another option at this point due to the price that we are offering on this deal. So i was honestly curious why he decided that he wanted to go in a different direction. What it that he wanted different features, different springs, different color. Just a question.

Thank you for helping me narrow down my source of supplier for parts for the G8, GTO, and my other projects (and yes, I actually am in the process of ordering some Christmas gifts for my G8). YOU (like other sponsors have done) believe that using profanity and being "in your face" aggressive on this board is justified. Interesting business model...

Mike, it may appear to YOU that this was an appropriate question...I had the same reaction as this poster did while I was reading down this thread. Realize that the 'infomercial' approach of this board doesn't always serve everyone, and please consider that those of us who choose to spend our hard-earned money on parts don't necessarily appreciate some of the attitudes exhibited. You have always demonstrated professionalism, and I appreciate you for that. There are others that do not, and I would certainly not do business with them. I have worked hard to get where I am in life, and have the luxury of not doing business with people whom I find offensive. Perhaps there are sponsors that feel similarly blessed in their businesses that they don't care about offending particular customers.

I am tired of Pedders reps showing up in every thread and throwing their weight around like they own the forum. The amount of airtime they claim and the way they show up in every thread that has to do with suspension components is way out of line. I, for one, am disgusted with it, and just decided to say so.

There are other options as has been stated, The Tein kit that JHP has is one of them, so if your in the market and are disgusted with Pedders, then you have that as an option.

Contact them i'm sure they can get you taken care of.

I can tell you if Rob would not have asked, I would. My primary concern would have been to make sure the customer had no ill issues and feelings with Pedders. We welcome exchanges in info and data, as long as it is not bogus as what happed last week or so when someone posted issues with pedders strut busthings, and compared bogus aftermarket, used strut bushings as new OEM.

TEIN is a fine product. Now that we have our eXtreme Xa, I and know what the presales have been, for the GTO and G8, I can honestly tell you we have sold more of the eXtreme Xas than all other systems out there comebined!.

If he wants the green, then that is fine. But we want to make sure he is informed

I have to jump in here too. Looks like TEIN has info available now and Pedders does not. I have Pedders ordered for front of my GTO and want to use G8 Pedders on rear also (Tubed Custom Build) I would not only have to buy a full G8 kit but without a clue how they are made. I have 1 day to decide to get sale price and President of Pedders has not returned my call.

Pedders has posted a ton of info on the new eXtreme Xa coil overs. The only info that we do not know yet is the spring rates of the 3 alternative coils that we will offer; Street, Sport, and race. All coil over initially will come with the sport coils
So what info has Pete not posted about the new eXtreme Coil overs that you require?

thanks

HERE IS THE LINK FOR A TON OF INFO ON THE EXTREME XA COIL OVERS ON THIS FORUM:
http://www.g8board.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9000

ALSO OUR WEB SITE HAS A TON OF INFO. Here is a direct link: http://www.peddersusa.com/products/6

There is info that truly is immaterial and I would not bother with such as height, compressed height, spring diameter. I am waiting however to get info on the diffferent rates of the coils. The info that I find immaterial is partially due to my roadtesting of Pete's G8 and finding the lack of limits with them.

There is a preset you will do for the coil spring lower seat. It will be in the instructions. These coil overs offer serious advantages over any coil over that is suitable for street usage. One of them is the way we adjust heights. We do not have to change spring rates to do this. This is a serious advantage. We change the length of the strut itself.

I will see if I can get the other info for you. Tein does not seem to post this info either.

I did try search but only came up with Pete and Robs Thread. I don’t see anything about spring adjustment on rear. How does it adjust without a clevis for shock to slide through?
Also it would be great to mix the 2 kits and not have to buy rear GTO and front G8. I was hoping Pedders would like to see a GTO with there Coil Overs on all 4s.

The rear coil overs on the G8 adjust the same way on the rear as the front. I know, I helped adjust Pete's. The GTO will have a coil over on all 4 corners. We will only sell these kits as a 4 piece set.

Spring adjustments are also the same on all 4 corners. The preload procedure is carefully and easily described in the instruction sheets.

While this thread has of course turned into a Pedders orgy it does do a bit to strengthen some of the negative feedback I've gathered from other sites. The main being: few specifics. The attitude coming from Pedders and their vendors seems to always be "just trust us" Which is all well and good unless you're looking for comparative information between competing products, say Tein and Pedders. Would be nice to make a table comparing the two with spring rates, construction details, etc... So that one could make an "informed" decision and not just get a "recomendation."

We have given out a huge amount of info already on the eXtreme Xa on Pete's initial post and on our forum. But I will do this for you:
Find the comparative TEIN coil over data, with references where I can verify it so I can make sure all that I post is accurate and verifiable, that you want and I will put a chart together and post it for all to see. The TEIN web site is alittle challenging to find info because I was going to do this. But the draw back is when I do, there will be those who believe I am slamming another product and I am not. I rarely discuss other products openly on the forum in terms of comparison. But as long as this forum does not slam me for doing it, I will be glad to do it. I do think, however, TEIN will not want to do this. Our new eXTREME Xa is way beyond cool and functional.

So do we have a deal?? Part of the challenge, however, is finding info from TEIN.

Today is the last day to order our eXtreme Xa Mono tube, 30 way adjustable coil over. It will require a 15% deposit. Price is $1311+

This is a VERY serious price reduction to get the product introduced to the G8 community. We already have had them tested in Au, and are currently on Pete's G8, and they are off the charts.

So order them today if you have not. We have sold a serious amount of them. Au and transfered initial allocation from Au dealers to us.

Hope all of you have a very save ad happy New Years!!
