Hello fellow G8 riders,

I've picked up 2008 G8 GT 3 weeks ago, and so far love the vehicle in most aspects:driving:.
My previous vehicle was 07 VW GTI, and the first modification was APR ECU upgrade. I do realize my G8 vehicle comes with plenty of power but I do want to get more since I know many modification is available for the car.
The one thing I liked about the APR programming was it came with switchable programming so that when I needed to visit a local dealership for a service, then I can simply switch the system to OEM settings so my warranty wouldn't avoided:). I would like to know more about the upgrade systems on the G8.
After searching for some inforamtion in this forum plus g8gt.com, I've narrowed down the choice between Vector Motorsports and Intense racing. I've noticed that both system utilize Roto-Fab CAI and seems like most people prefer this specific CAI.
Anyone who has these system running on their G8, please share some inforamtion.
By the way, I'm from Pacific Northwest where I can't get 93 octane gas easily.
Thank you in advance and happy holidays.

ah, another PNW G8! Welcome. some good first mods there! I feel your pain with the 93 octane...still havent found ANY gas stations that sell it....but i have a 93 octane tune. If you are looking at getting an exhaust setup and want to hear an example of what an after market exhaust and headers sound like, and also want to feel what the CAI and Tune will do to your car, I can meet u sometime and give u a ride :) I prefer the Vector tune myself...at least for now

A bunch of us in the PNW area meet from time to time and shoot the *****. You'll have to come on out for one of those with your beast :)

What part of PNW are you from?

Make sure you get the tcm tune as well as the ecm. I have the 91 tune as I can't get the 93 octane here in CA. The tune and rotofab is a well documented worth while mod.

I would go with Vector as they have a better track record. Also Vector are the only ones who offer the "Stealth Tune" which maintains your stock CVN file name and makes it very hard for dealers to tell you have an aftermarket tune.
