Hi Bob,

Got our new G8 yesterday, and LOVE IT! It's got 14,600 miles, and we bought it for $19,500. Sweet deal on a great car!:driving:

My dad got a new 08 v6 from the dealer a few days ago for 20,000 out the door after GM discount, rebates and a trade in

2008 white hot with the climate control and cd changer and sunroof, 4200 mi for $19,650 and my wife's crappy 2000 dented up caravan in trade, which I should of kept for dump runs. Was the owner of the car dealerships ride. Best price within 50 miles of home.

I'm surprised the V8 trolls haven't attacked this yet.

Put a second V6 in the trunk and make the V8 trolls feel inadequate! V6+V6=V12. That's 50% better than a V8.

Hey, it's been done before:

They don't make 'em like that anymore! Just think, you could get a front end of a G6 GXP and put the other drive train on the rear wheels like a front/mid engine setup. Cool,eh??:driving:

Notice also those 0-60 times for all those sports type coupes are slower than the V6 G8 for the most part. Very interestng how the slower cars of today still out run those.

I was out scoping out my local dealer last evening, and they had one used sedan with about 8000 miles for about $20K.

Used G8's are nonexistent around here.

Wow, a 33% hit in value in one year. That's positively rental car grade depreciation.

There are a few leftover 08's v6's at a dealer near me. All brand new never titled for, I think around 22k. I'm in hudson valley area of NY.

Now that you can get new GTs for 24K better check your resale value, too, especially now that the bankruptcy is final. You may have a rental car. Just with a bigger motor. :shiner:

I stopped and looked at a 2009 in dark red for the heck of it on my way to check out some Mustangs and Genesis Coupes. It was a very nice looking car. I thought it was the GT at first, but salesman was like "not at that price". It only had 4400 miles and they wanted about 22k. But it was only the base model I believe. I did'nt even test drive it as I'm sure I would want the V8 after driving one a couple months ago, but that was around 25k and still a little expensive for me so I'm probably out of luck for now. I do like the V6's wheels better and slightly better gas mileage. Too bad it does'nt come with the DI engine of the Camaro or I might be tempted...

Yeah, if you really want a GT, the v6 isn't for you.
Don't know if you could stand all the bashing and trolling.:)

I bought my '08 a month and a half ago with 15,000 miles for $19,000. No upgraded stereo or sunroof or anything though. If I would have known at the time that you needed the upgraded stereo with dual zone A/C control for the A/C or heat to come on with remote start I would have looked for that. Oh well, not like I had a choice since the one I picked up was the only v6 I could find within 250miles. S'all good though, love my car none-the-less.

We bought our V6 in March I think it was with 3000 miles for under 20K.
