Looks like the official EPA ratings are in. Here's a direct link:

The EPA is listing it at 24 Hwy / 15 City with premium gasoline. I thought that the L76 was tuned for regular?

From what I understand, the engine produces 361hp on regular gas and the MPG ratings published by Pontiac are on regular gas as well, although Pontiac recommends premium for better engine performance.

V8 15/24 equal to Charger, better than 550i worse than Maxima, G35
V6 17/25

Comparing (adjusted) rates to what I drive now, I'm only giving up 1 mpg overall. http://www.g8board.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=373&d=1202394976Comparing to alternate sensible? choices it's a choice of driving excitement or blah.

I wouldn't dwell on the EPA ratings too much. If you drive reasonably your mileage will be pretty good.

I wouldn't expect an average over 20MPG for mixed driving.
