Hey All
Fresh from the floor of the Auto Show,

I got a chance to see it ... THE G8 GT in PANTHER METALLIC Black, Metallic Gray and Liquid "BRIGHT" Red

First my car the Gray G8 GT it looked good it stood out in the crowd and the color was smooth. it has a modern look to its that muscular but yet stylish. Its defiantly bigger than a Grand Prix, but 100 times better. The seats are not sport seats to the fullest, they are more like a mix between low line luxury and sport.

The interior is basic yet upscale. Not too busy but there was enough in the to do. The car I would say its closest to is the CTS.

I will add more to my review later today.

The black is not completely black so it won't show scratches as quickly and the Red is way to bright.

The 19" are complementing to the car. The wheel thread look like they are all seasons though I didn't look at the side wall.

The car looks lowered stock.

The trunk is really good size but I think they should have made the car have fold down rear seats though.
I guy at the show from my home town was telling me about 50/50 weight distribution. He was saying that it helps the car's steering in a way I wouldn't believe. So I'm excited for that.

All the cars had the premium package, but the red isn't have the sport. The red had the sun roof though. Its kind of small. My grand am gt sunroof seemed a little larger.

The seats do not have levers for the seat back. It has a dial just like for a lumbar support. I saw pluses and minus in that .

The ceiling height is higher than a GP.

The rear seats need a little bit more room if you have 2-6 ft people sitting in front and back

I find this hard to believe. It is supposed to have move room than an Avalon.

What I'm saying is that if you extend the way back the 6 foot person will have a few problems so the 2 six feet people might have been wrong.

What I did was sat in the front seat and extended the seat as far back as possible then sat in the rear and I had to sit with my legs open. I forgot already if my feet could still touch the pedals.

So sorry about that.

When I went to the Detroit Auto show I adjusted the front seat so I could sit comfortably and then hopped in back. I thought the rear seat was pretty roomy and I'm 6'2". Maybe with the seat all the way back it would be a little cramped, but I will be the one doing the driving!:D

I am thrilled to hear that you can actually get in the G8 at the Chicago Auto Show. I will be there on Monday, and was afraid that they might be on pedestals or behind ropes. I want to be able to check the car over inside and out to see if it will be practical for me. I try to do as much of my own maintanence as possible, so location of things underhood is important. The last step will be test-driving one later this year when my dealership will hopefully have a couple of them in stock. Then I should be ready to take the leap!

To see the engine your going to have to ask the presenter with the black car. The red and gray car's hoods are disabled

Yeah, I tried opening it. I couldn't get into the TBSS or any of the SRT8 either.

I did the same at the Chicago show and I'm 6'1". I thought the room in the back was fine.
