I am a new member and want to see a G8 in person. I have been ordered by my wife to get us a 4 door car and I want a sporty one, so the GT is an option. Just want to know how long I am going to have to wait and how long before the 09s will be coming out. I have read on here it will be a short run of 08s and then the 09? The 09 has more colors to chose from?

I could not part with my Z06, but my wife wants to sell her Vette for a 4ds and I am trying to keep something sporty with 4 doors! Just found out today that Corsa will be making G8 exhaust! They did the ones on the Daytona Pace Car G8, pretty cool!

Its kinda like that Dream Car Garage - do you want a car like this? YES! do you need a car like this? YES! But I too don't have to have it right away, though I would like an 09 like now! Need to see one, drive one, then I will know for sure.

I noticed that these cars are now popping up on "Vehix.com" for sale at the MSRP. Not much details about the ones for sale, but there is about 14 of them last I checked. Good mix of base and GT's

I was at my local dealership in Memphis, TN and they had just unloaded at least 4 G8s. I sat in black on black GT price was 31K + 1K markup something about the car being the first 888.

The "888" is just a number. Tell 'em you'd rather have a later serial number because you want someone else to do the early beta testing.

gamoon, the first G8 is in Atlanta. Unfortunately its a base G8, not a GT.

Not much longer in Augusta, GA. My dealer says he will have one by March 26th. I can hardly wait.

My wife's Vette has been sold.

Good to hear they are getting in so soon. GM projected the land dates in the Midwest closer to mid-April! You guys will love the car, the ride quality and handling is what sold me.

I went by there last night and didn't see the car but it was probably inside.
www.sentrybuick.com on Savannah hwy.(hwy 17). I don't have any sales contacts at Sentry Buick/Pontiac but get my GTO serviced there. There was a guy named Rich Kelly there who was very nice but I don't know if he's still around.
Also there is www.Mcelveen.com in Summerville. I bought both of my GTOs there because Sentry either wanted too much or didn't have any in stock.
You only want to deal with Steve Howard who is the internet manager. He is a straight up guy. They sell for $78 over invoice + $299 overhead charge. I don't know if they are selling the G8s for those prices though. I bought my '04 GTO from Steve for $26,500 and my '06 for straight invoice at $29,600 and 0%.
McElveen is at exit 199 on I-26 @ 17-A. About 23 miles closer to you then Sentry if you come down I-26.

Thanks for your help. I got a reply from them where they did not even read what I sent and thought I wanted a price on a Grand Prix. I sent the email back and told them that they did not even read my comments, pretty poor way to do business on the net.
Anyway, my dealer called yesterday and had one in for me to drive, so I beat it over there last night. I like it and want one, an 09 and he has agreed on a price and that I get the first 09 that they can tag. Very happy with the deal and the dealer. Very upfront and easy to work with.
