Does anyone know if the Dash will be able to be in different colors like the SEMA one?

I know the seats come in red but what about the other colors.

Please GM! Give us at least one lighter interior color option! Holden has them, please give them to us too! PLEASE!

I agree, they should at least offer a tan/black combo, but I can deal with the all black.

You can only hope that the GXP is two colors like the HSV version of the VE (I know the SS-V also has a two color dash), but maybe they are holding it for the GXP model.

I think its wise to see what features the GXP will have you never know they might add some of those options to the GT.

I don't want to spend 35+k for a car but 29 +tax i can live with.

I would like 2 tone interior though so.. heres to hoping GM listens to its potential customers.

YES!!!

I complained about this before (I don't know if it was here or another board)--why does the Malibu get a nicer interior than the G8!!

GM still operates like snail mail. It takes them ages to come out of their shell and show just how serious they want to play in the car game.


Honestly if the malibu had a V8 engine with 360hp and 380 torque i think a lot of dads would be opening their wallets.

Mom gets a safe car and dad gets to have a sprinter.

I really hope GM listens to the request for a lighter interior. We want to get a G8 but will not buy one because my wife doesn't like the interior choices. We would like to see something like the concept or a toupe color.

I also would like to see different colors for the interior. Does anyone know if the onyx/ red seats are all leather or part leather and part cloth?

They won't, because the majority of the market over that wants power wants a V8. When I suggested the GXP use a twin turbo v6, immediately I was pounced upon, and the "I don't want some ricer engine" proceeded.

Then, someone pulled out some figures via their butt hole, "Yeah, and a torque curve like 250 at 3200RPM, where I am getting 350 at that RPM"

Too bad they didn't know that the 3.6 Twin Turbo GM has been working on puts out 400 at 3200RPM.

But what do I know.

In a nutshell.... Most of the folks buying the GXP are going to be men. And most American men are idiots! Johnny aint gonna buy it unless it makes his penis feel bigger. And a V6 ain't gonna make that thar peter piper feel very big... even if it'll pee in the fatty's breakfast. That 3.6 aint no Tokyo Tin...

But what do I know....

Love that black and gold interior! With black outside, the perfect G8 for a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Speaking as a hardcore Steelers fan (who just happens to live in Packer country), the above interior was black & tan, not black & gold, so it wouldn't work. Now, if they offered the G8 in a nice "Steeler gold" (more yellow than gold actually), with a black interior with matching yellow inserts, I'd be buying one!

As a Browns fan living in Cleveland, I believe that offering the G8 in "Steeler gold" would be an absolute mockery of the car!

I hate to derail this thread any worse, but I just have to with Attorneyguy's post!

I didn't realize that they let Browns fans drive. I heard that they couldn't pass the written test, since reading and writing were prerequisites, and that the state of Ohio wouldn't accept an "X" on the signature line anyway! ;-) Just kidding, I realize the Browns are on a major rebound, and will be tougher in years to come.

I really hope that they eventually offer a nice yellow on the G8 eventually (but I doubt it), and long as it's not a bright "banana yellow."

thats the optional Calais-V interior, bottom left of the photo says "Calais V Series in Light Urban (carpet is actually same colour as the seats) and i really think it would suit the "classy sport" style of the G8 perfectly

i'm honestly surprised they havent offered the red plastics on the dash for the G8, might be considered a bit too cheesy

Oh that interior would look sweet with a number of the darker exteriors. I'll say it again. PLEASE GM GIVE US AN OPTION LIKE THIS FOR THE G8!

A cool option would be a color match interior to your exterior color. I don't think it'd be real popular, but I'm sure a few of us would shell out some extra dough for it.

I had something else in my mind, still looking for pics..

if any of you guys want to hit the after market route.. theirs some options out their for these cars that are not to pricy.. a days worth of work and a few hunded bucks and you can have what ever you want... i was lookin into a katzkin kit for mine.. i never did like the factor interior in any of my cars.. i have always wanted to upgrade and do other colors.. i have used katzkin in some of my other cars.. one being a charger.. the kit was pretty simple to install and was not to pricy.. i even got to pick all the options.. hell if i was not such a cheap ass i would of added the stiching on the head rest.. but hell i like bang for the buck.. but any way if you guys are even looking for some thing like that hit up Rick or James at promotiontuning.com they really hooked me up and they where able to handle all my questions the first time i orderd a kit from them.. and from then i have been hooked.. any way gotta get back to work!

I'm a hardcore Steelers fan as well and was really hoping to get the black and tan interior. It looks close enough for me.
