My neice is a recent college grad who beat some big odds to get where she is today. Really proud of her. She has a Volvo in need of an alternator and was told about $400.

I want to send her some cash to help pay, but have no clue about where she should go. I'm in MI. Her circle of friends/relatives there are not "car" people. Can someone suggest something there?

Hey Everyone. I Just got my G8 a few weeks ago and was wondering if there was any meets near by or anywhere? I am willing to travel.

A month ago I started a tread 4L V8 that used the newest engine design based on the LNF/LHU but met with comments that suggested a more conventional approach.
So let’s try this: to promote better engine breathing I will use a big block (large valves), this block is about 2in. wider and longer than the GM 6.2L (L9H, L94, L99, LS3).
To increase engine response: The new engine will be 6.2L with 4.47’ bore and 3.00’ stroke.
If there are fuel economy benefits to this architecture I don’t know.
It should be noted that GM could do this at much lower cost than the 4L V8 and it could use regular gas, GM could even put Direct Injection on it.

My fiancé drove the car up on a curb, nothing crack but very scarred and visible...

now I'm curious what it will cost to fix and if it may be worth it to look into gxp front fascia.

Hey guys, my G8 didn't come with a front license plate holder, and unfortunately for me I live in MN where I have to have it. I don't want to drill any holes in the car though. Any ideas? Thanks

I need a new set of tires for my stock 18" wheels on my G8 V6. The stock tire size is a 245/45/18 all the way around. Can anyone recommend any different tire sizes that will perform/look better that the factory size? Or should I just got back with the same size that was on it. I am no tire expert by any means, but thought maybe a little wider tire in the rear might be worth looking into. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated! :confused:

As a previous owner of a Pontiac G8, I thought I should give a brief testimonial for several 'performance' parts that I purchased.

First and foremost, do not install an aftermarket damper (under-drive pulley). Powerbond offers a underdrive pulley, which they claim is compatible with the LY7. I installed this item, against the recommendation of the local dealerships. The result, after only 10,000 miles, was intolerable engine vibration and front main bearing failure. The pulley was professionally installed, and a inspection of the vehicle ruled out installation error. This $200.00 pulley provided zero noticeable performance gains and facilitated a $4,000.00 engine repair.

Secondly, the Mace intake manifold insulators are a sham. I installed them and ran them on my vehicle for a short amount of time. I noted the engine temp after the vehicle had been unused for several hours, I then checked the temp again after I allowed the vehicle to idle for some time. I compared this to temps I had previously recorded without the insulators, and found only a few degree difference. The conclusion was the insulators found a direct route to my trash.

Rotofab makes a CAI that is well worth your money. The intake was the only installation on my vehicle that provided noticeable, reliable gains.

Eibach coils were also a purchase that I would recommend. They provided a stiffer ride, reduced roll in tight cornering and a lower, sleeker look for the car.

BEST mod: Trading the G8 for a 2005 GTO with 422RWHP.

So I decided to do it, I purchased the VMS Stage 2.5 cam package with ported CNC Heads along with a 3200 Yank Stall Torque Converter along with some other goodies like a Tranny cooler, and Oil Catch can.

Im no expert on these engines. But would a supercharger for a v6 camaro fit? Any thoughts?

so i just got an alignment after we re adjusted the height on my coilovers and everything is in spec but every time i hit a bump in the rear , the rear end will jump over towards the bump, the last time it did that was after we put the toe rods on before we did an alignment, has anyone else ever had this problem?

Does anyone here know if the stock LS3 MAP Sensor would mount and work with a L76 intake manifold?

Placed an order with Precision Motorsports of Florida on april 5th for kooks 1 7/8th mid length headers and recieved nothing yet. Does anyone know if kooks are that much in a backlog for these headers?

I have had a custom tune since January due to installing headers. No use in me holding on to the Cortex any longer. Have all chords and box.
