Even the torque/power down low will improve. The cam they put in mine is a 227/239 .614/.624. I have a friend in my G8 club who personally did a DOD delete and installed a stage 1.5 Livernois with a yank 2800. His runs rougher than my set up. When he drove my car he couldn't believe that I had much more aggressive cam and stall (10 degrees duration and .025" more lift). He said mine drives like stock comparred to his rough rider. His also makes 30 less horsepower and 30 less torque. The difference is not in the companies or the cam, it's in Steve the tuner. He is a magician. He might be antisocial and come off arrogant, but he's actually a softy who is gifted in his art of tuning. If I knew my application was going to end up being this tame and streetable, I would have put a bigger cam in my car like a stage 3.5 or 4.0, something with 5 more degrees duration and little more lift to squeeze out another 8-12HP for free.
