Now that Pontiac has been laid to rest. Pontiac related clubs should be thinking of merging for more and bigger meets. The Triumph club welcomed all Engish marques because it wasn't big enough to survive on its own.

    Hey Rob,
Thanks for the advice. I posted on the Great Lakes thread so now I can keep abreast of whats going on locally. Not a whole lot eh ? Northeast Triumph Club used to have a swap meet or club meeting at least once a month. What gives ? Not enough interest ?
    Regards,

    Hi Rob,
Nice to meet a friend. Been hard to come by on this forum as I appear to be one misunderstood soul who really likes his G8. Maybe too much. Anyway, I live in Lyndhurst, Ohio. About 30 miles east of Cleveland.
Have been restoring and modding cars for about 35 years. Mostly put Buick V6's into Triumph TR7's and 61-63 GM aluminum 215 V8's in TR7's and MGB's.
I was driving an 08 LaCrosse CXL and, although luxurious, was missing some performance in my DD. I reasearched the G8 for about a year. Test drove about 12 of them until I was finally smitten with this one about two months ago. I love it.
Nice to know theres a local around whos got my back and has been around for awhile. Appreciate it if you fill me in on any clubs or meets worth attending. Like to bring my son this kind of stuff. (also have a daughter)
I like your cars color. Stands out. Theres a million black ones. But actually its only the second black car I've owned.
    Best regards,
    Geno

Truck liner was custom made for me by an auto trimmer in Sydney. It's just high grade brushes ally on a suede background with black carpet on the outside.

Just show the pic to a trimmer in your neck of the woods and they'll be able to do something along those lines.

    Cheers

Why thank you! This is actually the 2nd time we had the engine bay covers painted...this time they used a paint called "Candy Paint"....we faded from the sport red color into black...thought that would look cool and not overkill....got a lot of compliments on it too...and can understand about nasty weather. Having to drive her right now, not too happy about it, but hoping to buy another car soon so EL can just stay the "garage queen" until Car Shows and Monthly G8 meets!
