I can't say I'm surprised that there's quite a few people that drive them in the winter. Honestly, I think the novelty (and the fact that I was able to hand wash mine last weekend when it was 53* out, so it's still clean) of mine has made me want to pamper it, so when it's been a crappy day out, like today, I left it in the garage. Plus, my '95 Lumina gets around great in the winter, so might as well take it.

Good to hear from you, maybe we can touch base sometime this summer at one of the Bennigan's cruises. We always could use more Pontiac Club members too!

That's kind of funny that you mention that. I've always realized that once you get a new car, no matter how uncommon you think it is, right after you buy it, you seem to see everyone else driving the same thing.

Less than a week into owning mine, I was at Target in Urbandale by the Grimes exit, and there was another G8. I looked at the VIN, and I think it was an '09. I don't believe it had either the premium or sport packaged, but it was a good looking Liquid Red one either way. It had regular Iowa plates, but I don't remember the county. I actually got a picture of it since I basically parked right next to it. I'll have to find it sometime, and maybe post it.

Actually, no. I've had the car for two weeks yesterday, and drove out to the Chicago area to pick it up. I don't have plates on it yet, but once I get the registration and license taken care of, it'll have ISU plates on it.
