I'm not asking if the they will, but can it be done if I know someone in the service department?
Correct. Dealers can not "custom" modify your software nor would they want to.going with no. But that is just cause I know what I am talking about.
Seriously they will not do it unless they are one of the performance orientated places. Most dealerships do not have the software to turn off AFM.
Your best bet is to get a sensor to read out of spec....
Of course there is no reason to disable AFM in the first place unless you are doing it ath the hardware level.
Misguided notion that the car will be slower off the line in AFM??? From a stop AFM should not be activated so there should be no difference in engine operation until you reach a certain speed and have held off on the gas long enough for the car to respond. There is also a high speed cutoff, above which even though traveling at steady state freeway speeds AFM will disengage.seeing how i drive 100 miles a day now i love the 25 mpg , going avg 75 mph.. i get with the afm, just curious why there are soo many people against the AFM....what advantage would u have shutting it off...i have flows in the back and hardly ever notice or care about the slight change in exhaust tone with the afm
lolNit harvest is in full swing!
Eric, never drive at less than WOT and AFM will never engage. You'll be due for brakes sooner rather than later.
