Well it all depends on what your looking for. What cam would be "best" is very subjective. There are many people here that can help you pick a cam if you provide a little more info about what you plan on doing with the car. Are you looking for max power? Is street-ability a concern are you only headed to the track?

Edit: Sorry I see you already stated it's a daily driver. There are several threads on this topic. I'm sure if you search around a little bit you can find some good recommendations.

Livernois stage 1c, I used it with just bolt on's in my daily driver with stock converter and it had great driveability. It made 436 rwhp. There's other good ones out there too, that's just my personal favorite. But make sure and get a good tune as that will play a very large role in how good of a daily driver it makes. Good luck!

The LS9 cam should be worth 30-40hp NA. New from GM it's a little over $100.00, idles like a stocker, still has good low end, and pulls to 6500rpm.
I would also suggest using LS9 spark plugs #41-104 which are the colder than any other LS plug and get another deg or 2 of timing for more power.

Question I just thought about is, could he run the LS9 cam with 1.85 roller rockers for a little extra umphf?

Lift with 1.85 rockers would be .612 intake, .606 exhaust.

Uhh, call me crazy but probably the one that was engineered for it and that it came with.

Sorry. Had to.

Here's a link It's listed as a 2008, but it's really a 2009. Also, i've since changed the wheels.

I was wondering what all the fuss was about, that was a mistype in my original post. That's my bad, sorry for the confusion. Although the 1c would probably be best suited for him if he doesn't want lope, as the 1c is the "stealth" cam.

True and since he has a GXP it would put him around that 440rwhp range.

Gr8t GT, you would recommend the LS-9 cam for a non FI setup? I have been pondering this as it is super cost effective.

Okay, just a thought. Doing the work myself, already sent info to Pat G for a spec'd cam.

Only 1 post suggested the ls9 cam (and then incorrectly recommended ls9 plugs). If you are good with that...OK.

Most others are saying stage 1c cam.

I'd say call a specialist. Pat G, Rick Crawford, Crane, Comp, etc...

If i had an LS3, i'll do a 236/240 cam, but because i have a GT, eventually i'll go with a 228/232 or 232/236 cam, next year i'll decide, i've got the verter already to make her civilized when cruising, so it's a matter of having some money to make her "streetable" with a nice bump stick, really :)
