Pontiac G8 Paint Information

Whether you're sprucing up your engine cover or touching up a chip sometimes you need some color-matched paint. When that happens you're going to need the paint code for your vehicle. You can look all over your car for a label that has it listed or you can just look here. Here are all the colors for the Pontiac G8 along with the equivalent Holden color names and GM paint codes along with some other information. The Holden color names are useful because those are what most online shops list when you go to buy color-matched paint.

If anyone has any information I'm missing, such as color production broken down by model for 2008, or notices any inaccurate information please let me know.

Good info indeed. However, for shades of the same color it's still best to look under your hood to verify that you are in fact looking at the right color. Someone might think they have Stealth Blue Metallic when in fact they have Stryker Blue Metallic.

If your car has any purple in it at all it's Stealth Blue. 2008 Model year only.
Stryker blue was NOT available in 2008. So if you have a blue car from the 2008 model year it's either a Stealth Blue or custom painted. :wink2:

Those paint pictures really don't do justice to the actual colors....they make the colors look really similar. But as you can see below, they are quite different from one another.

Well, so long as they know what year their car is they shouldn't have any problems. All of the Stealth Blues were built in the 2008 model year, all 590 of them, and there weren't any Stryker Blues built in 2008. (Then again I've known a few people who aren't completely sure what model of the car they drive, let alone the year)

The point is valid though, if you are not absolutely sure what color your G8 is then go check under the hood to be sure before you buy anything. Really, only refer to this if you're sure of the color but just can't remember that pesky paint code ;)

I've used this place to get paint for my brazen orange GTO and they did a very good job at matching the factory color. I took a chance and was surprised. I painted a few suspension pieces and underhood parts. They have touch up as well as spray cans. I used spray. If admin has a problem with the link, I'll edit it.

I have to agree that some of the Australian color names are cooler than the local variety. I mean, come on, you can't deny that Switchblade Silver Metallic and Red Passion Metallic are better sounding than Maverick Silver Metallic and Sport Red Metallic.

I only see one place on the internet calling 18U/WA354N 'Evoke Pearl' however I do see many, including Holden's website, listing 'Evoke Metallic'.

Oh, hey no, it was me who came off rude: sorry about that! I didn't mean to be short at all. I appreciate every bit of information that anyone can turn up; it's what keeps this place getting better :)

My dealer couldn't find the paint code for my car, LOL! He was looking everywhere for it. I finally did get some touch up paint ordered from the dealer for it. 13 mother lovin dollars!! That's crazy for a paint pen!

Question: Is the metallic in the base coat or in the clear?
