Just so you know, the seller is a long time member here and former G8 owner!

If you come, let me know and I'll be happy to show them to you. If anyone has any questions, feel free to send me a PM.

Couldnt we just run a spacer to push them back out given the high offset in the rear? The fact that they have the staggered setup available for hardly anymore cash is just about too much for me to handle...must not buy...

Should not be an issue. I'm pretty sure the genuine wheel has the same or very close to +55 offset.

So I've made up my mind, I'll be snagging a set of the GTS wheels in the Spring. Great looking wheel IMO.

I talked to the seller and they're "working on it".

They look ok, for what your paying if wanted 20s instead of my 19s these would be at the top of my list, by far over Camaro 20s that everyone else has. However, like JHP or Crazy Paul says you get what you pay for in knockoffs, China puts out some shaddy products even though companies say they're the same they are not always the same as OEM have standards compared to aftermarket wheels. The aftermarket pentagons never look the same as the real thing, now the GTS wheels look pretty close to the really thing. Posted pictures of both genuine and knockoff, can you tell any difference? However, in AU they sell 19" GTS knockoffs that don't look the same, the spokes defently are thinner.

If I didn't have my "own" HSV wheels (I got my whole set of used genuine wheels for that price) I probably would have seriously thought about these, because most of those who went with 20s have gone to Camaros. If i had a Camaro, I wonder what these would look like them?

If I were selling $4700 wheels, I'd probably say the same thing. I'm curious why this comment never seems to come up when discussing Camaro 20 inch replicas?

Would it make a difference if you knew these wheels were made in the same factory as the popular manufacturer of Camaro and Corvette replicas?

What if you knew these were made in the very same factory as some very well-known brands sold here in the US already (including some with American in their name)?

What if you knew these wheels were built by a factory that has OEM contracts with virtually every Asian car manufacturer? Would that be an assurance of quality?

What if you knew that the genuine HSV wheel was built to withstand 690 kg load and these replicas are produced to withstand 850 kg load?

I'm sure there's been crappy products put on the market in Australia, but these aren't them. There's just too much litigation in the US market to make it worth the risk.

Default Genuine or knockoffs your money

Do what ever you want with your money, but real or not if you like them get them - but just remember when others ask you if their HSV? NO replicas.

Just like this - two Rolex watches both work the same in telling time, both have the flashy goods, and look very similar but which which one would you rather have on your arm. The fake one may last a lifetime and even if its half the price you'll always know its not real and wish you had the real thing.

Lol. I see your point, but I'm not sure that's an apples to apples comparison. These are just wheels and I'm not sure they carry the same level of prestige as a Rolex watch.

I think everyone has to place their own value on what is it worth to own the genuine article. If consumers feel the genuine item is priced beyond what is reasonable for other similar products, then there will be a market for reproduction items. The big issue here in the US is the whole "forbidden fruit" thing. Genuine HSV wheels are extremely difficult and costly to obtain here, while genuine Rolex watches (while still costly) are at least obtainable through Rolex retailers.

There's been a long, pent-up demand for the HSV wheels here in the US. If you can buy a wheel that meets or exceeds the genuine article in testing and/or load standards, I'd consider that a bonus. I'd buy the replica, spend the difference on other mods and not have a moment's regret.

Agreed with most of this. I don't mind replicas of similar build/quality.
I think some of us aren't in the market for genuine hsv wheels anyway as we can't afford $3k for wheels. This seems to give us a chance at achieving the same look, which is what Im after, Im not after the esteem of saying I've got the real deal. If I had $3K I could throw down on some wheels, Id get the real deal, but I don't.

Personally I think they look great.
I truly wouldn't care if they are official HSV wheels or not.
I am willing to be 99% of the people looking at my car would have no idea what HSV even means.

This AND just think the money you save means MORE mods! LOL!

I'll never knock anyone who insists upon getting real HSV parts but on the flip side I see no reason to knock the replicas either for those who like the HSV stuff but maybe don't have $4000 for a set of wheels.
