Have you been just sticking with factory recomendations for maintenance? I just rolled over 100k on mine (2009) and am getting ready to set up the appointment for a tune-up and trans fluid flush.

I love it! 250K+. I'm not surprised your not having any issues. The more you drive a car the better it seems to run. As long as you keep up with your maintenance you should be good to go for a while. My only question is how are the squeaks and rattles in the interior?

@WRIGHT . thats very impressive. i agree with all you have said . my '09 has 100k. how many miles between your oil changes ? i do it myself at 3k . i think this might seem a bit anal to some , but if i get 200k , it would have been well worth it . i have coolant replaced at 25k . trans filter/fluid at 25k . rear diff at 15k , myself

Wright is racking up the miles very quickly. It doesn't mean ours are going to run as high or as smooth since we are not taking into account wear that happens due to age such as rubber/plastics/wires...etc deteriorating over time.

So all you who fear racking up the miles, drive it! I drive 40k a year and enjoy the car. Sure i could have got a honda, but i wanted a car i could drive and be happy. The g8 sure does the trick!

Good to see my G8 will last just as long as my Maxima mechanically. 333k on her clock and still ticking. Cars are made to be driven. IMO, miles don't mean anything as long as you maintain the car.

I kept the mileage low; wanted to be able to use the warranty for the duration of the loan. Turns out that I used up the mileage before time is up. Since the warranty is gone and only is left the powertrain I decided to drive it more.

Oh well, the car is meant to be driven anyway.

Thanks for the kind words. To answer the questions, the interior has held up amazingly. Leather doesnt have any cracks or even many wrinkles, I'm not that big a guy though, 175lbs. No squeaks or rattles really. I use regular oil and my average is probably 5k. Sometimes I've done it after 3 or 4, and a couple times gone to 7 or 8. It has made a funny noise starting a couple times, but has always started right up the next time. Like I said, still original battery. Hopefully The starter won't go out. Im going to do a tune up soon and have spark plugs, wires, etc replaced. So in other words, I haven't done that. Haha I guarantee this car is not babied.

You're an example of Black Stone labs statement that "oil is oil". Proper grade and regular oil changes matter more than using dino vs synth with these cars.

Speaking of which,

Has OP ever sent their used oil to blackstone for UOA? Used Oil Analysis?

I'd love to see a resulting report from a 250k + mile car and what they say is worn / has worn / is notably something to watch out for.

Like are the rings in good shape still? Hmmmm...

You have gone 250k without a tuneup?

250k Wow! Nice! And with minimal maintenance. These cars are awesome. I love the "If it ain't broke don't fix it" strategy. If only I was that smart.
I have noticed the leather quality is better than most other GM's. I'm at 83k and the seats still look new. My 02 Camaros showed cracking at 20k as did my 08 Tahoe.

I'll take a couple pics one of these days so you can see the seats. My biggest complaint is small particles getting stuck in the perforations in three seats. The leather has held up
Beautifully

Technically no modern car needs a Tune Up since the PCM takes care of it. The system tunes the engine many times a second for optimal performance according to established parameters.

Any stuff like Coolant, Oil, Spark Plugs, Filter changes or any other thing of that nature is just plain and simple Maintenance.

I quit Tuning Up my vehicles around the late 80s and I do not miss it
