Default oddball wipers?

So this is pretty silly, especially since i am writing this and wondering wtf? But i know the g8s have oddball wiper sizes and local places dont even stock them. I been to autozone and advance near me and both carry the drivers wiper but out of stock of the passenger wiper. And advance said its a week out, their local warehouse doesnt have them.

I mean these are wipers, like those are the kind of things every auto parts store should have right?

The Advanced near me didn't even list a passenger side wiper and the PepBoys had it but it didn't have the right clip in the package. Ended up at a Caddy dealer, they ordered it and it was in in a few days. Decent price at $15.

The problem is the 15 inch length which a lot of brands don't even bother with.

Try to order a cabin air filter or trans oil filter. O'reilys didnt have a cabin air filter in the entire country and GM keeps saying the part number on the trans oil filter is a bad GM part number............

Your local Carquest probably stocks the cabin air filter. That's my part time/retirement/play money job. I'll check and see if I can post brand names and part numbers later today.

It can be a hard-thing/challenge, however, a bit of planning and online/internet action and you can get everything that the local stores will NOT have delivered for a little less.

I order 2 sets of wiper blades at a time from either gmpartshouse or the partsdirect place and my cabin and air filters for all our cars/trucks from RockAuto, the prices, even with shipping about can't be beat. It is just that one needs to plan ahead and that can be the hard part for many.

Is there something different with our wipers? O'reilly's carries 15 inch.

Has to have the top hook design clip.

It took me forever to find a local place that carries wipers for the G8 up here.
Finally Canadian Tire carries Trico Force wipers that fit the G8.

Carquest exact fit wiper for driver's side number is 24-513, but is flagged "until supplies are depleted". No offering other than a blade refill for the passenger side.
Honestly, I think there are better ones out there.

Wiper blades. I usually buy them through shopgmparts.com. They run about $9 each and shipping used to cost around $10 for orders under $100 (I believe). As far as the cabin air filters go, last time I checked with my local O'Reilly's (two months) guy said he could get as many as I need. Hmmm... interesting.

I also was able to pick up both drivers side and passenger side blades from Autozone. They were the Onxy I think. They eliminated a streak I would always have with the OEM. Work very well.

Some GM dealers have the OEM wipers in stock and the prices aren't that bad. I buy them from GMPARTSDIRECT and order a spare set in advance.

Walmart, "Rain-X Latitude" I believe...I use 26" drivers and 16" passenger...but a little pricey at almost 50 bucks for the set...adapters in the package and will need to be changed before putting them on...been using these since the first wiper change...available almost anywhere since it's Wally World...

I think these are the ultimate wiper. I was impressed after trying them out a couple vehicles ago. Will never bother with anything else as long as they're still available. My G8 even came with a fresh set already

I had to order 3 of them, or they would not order any.
