What's the point of posting a slip ? If someone wanted to cheat they could easily just post someone else's slip or claim the time of the fast guy in the other lane. It proves nothing. Why not just assume we are grownups and don't lie ?

Because not all are grownups. You are correct that easily someone could post a bogus slip - they could just as easily make up times while never leaving the interstate. At least this proves they know someone who knows someone who was at the track. Other sites older than ours have been through this before us and found what works. Like the rule regarding parts sales, no proof of timeslip no entry in list.
thats with traction control on and not holding third..I think thats why my mph is so low next time I know to hold third and i have some DRs on the way.:bubbrubb:

I would post a timeslip, however the printer broke and all I got was printed off the printer upstairs in the race control area. At 54 I am too old to lie about my times or care who doubts them. I have posted times on ls1gto.com and a couple of corvette forums for three years and have always shot straight.
I do have a timeslip of a 13.37 @ 105.01 which was printed earlier in the night.
I had a decent day at the dragstrip. I didn't improve too much, but a little bit. I was able to cut a sub 2.00 60' time, and the car ran consistant 12.6x's mostly & 12.7x's all day.
I beat a LS1 C5 Vette 2 times in a row That was fun.
And I totally got smoked by a 25psi heavily modded Mazda RX-7 his 12.0 to my 12.63 The guy was super cool though. Anyways, here is the dirty......
Time: 12.595 @ 112.37
60': 1.99
Track: Lapeer, MI
As info.... I'm car #216 and the other car (#205) was an LS1 C5 Corvette
Went to MIR tonight and ran a 12.888 @ 108.62 and 12.873 @ 108.65. Kinda warm and humid... DA corrects to a 12.661 @ 110.61 MPH but I really need more traction since I got crappy 60' 1.999 and 2.003. Car has the mods listed in sig. Went across the scales and I was 4200 with me and my crap in the trunk.
I'll update these in the next day or so. I just got back from the beach.
