The man was a sacrificial lamb to get to the bond holders and the UAW with the threat of bankrupcy. This will force both the UAW and the bond holders to comprimise or lose it all. Who would have thought Obama had the guts.

He may have been a lamb, but he didnt deserve his job 1 bit. He stood by as GM sent out junk for years. Luckily Lutz had enough brains to "try" to make changes.

So being responsible for vastly improving quality, taking the company out of the slump they were in, negotiating the very important UAW legacy cost issue, and downsizing the company in order to better streamline it counts as "standing by"?

And you're further saying that Lutz approved all his decisions, all by his lonesome? He didn't have to get a go ahead from the CEO, because Lutz was just that awesome?
