I've been waiting on someone with a Maxima to try racing me. After all, they are "the four door sports car" lol A little optimistic with their marketing.
I think the G8 is a little closer to a real four door sports car.
The Maxima isn't even rear wheel drive.

the trans definitely took some getting used to. it's nice though, when you go to pass someone one the highway it's instantaneous acceleration when you get on the throttle. don't have to wait for it.

They're sure not slow, I've seen them run low 14's stock.

For anyone interested, today he came to my office and said:
"Hey, I knew you were going to win, I just wanted to know by how much."
Guess I should've given him the royal treatment instead of laying off. I didn't bother telling him I hadn't tried. I figured there was enough salt in the wound.

Had a run-in with an 07 maxima last night on my way to meet my wife for dinner. Spotted what turned out to be some young female darting in and out of the lanes trying to catch up to me while i'm cruising along at 70. She passes me doing about 90 (cause thats what i had to accel to) and I pull along side thinking that she wanted to play... we had the room to do it too. I look over, she looks over.... and starts to slow down. I slow down too, still alongside, and she slows even more.... all the way down to about 50, falling behind me. I tried to slow down enough to line up again, but the slower I got, the slower she got. I gave up and kept on rollin.
Guess it was a pshycological kill. Too bad... my only race since having this car was against an E46 330i that tried the same thing. My wife wanted me to embarass that dude and his girl. I was happy to oblige

The chick in the Maxima was probably just driving fast and had no idea what you were doing.
The Bimmer kill must have been fun though.

I had a Maxima whoop my ass this morning. Too bad I was driving my wifes 6,011.44 lb. QX56. Guess he's on the Maxima forums right now talking about his "kill". Serves me right for stirring up a world of **** a couple weeks ago on the C6 vs. G8 thread. LOL. It just kills me that my son's GT and my Vette were home when this happened.

ha ha... youre probably right... she mightve thought I was gonna pull a gun or something.
The Bimmer kill was fun, especially since my wife encouraged it.

haha this is a funny thread =) the way i see it..i dont care how fast your maxima or honda or acura is. at the end of the day. you go home in a 13 thousand dollar ricer. you got a turbo/supercharger? bigggg whoop! put a turbo/super charger on my car, see what it will do!! that usaully shuts them up. but i do give credit to this new maxima...they did do something right. but its 13.9-14.3's dont run with our 13.4's-13.6's
