If you need to take car in for work at dealership, will they be pissed cause I have a tune or it isn't stock? meaning, can this void my warranty?

[quote=VectorMotorsports;43947]What tranny problem are you referring to as we are unaware of any?
I guess my wording is wrong...
The lag in time for the shifting to occur and the softness between shifts.. ( to me its a problem when my old TH350 shifted harder and quicker on a 30 yr old car)
someone told me with HP tuners will just removed the torque management and this is not the right approach(??)
I would like to remove my ecm and ship it to you..though I do not know how...
do you have instructions on this? Will your software provide a solution for the TCm by only sending in the ECM..sorry if these are redundent questions...

Correct removing it causes quite a few issues as far as longevity and drivability goes. We actually adjust it rather than remove it since we have access to far more trans support than any commercial software.
Since you want the ECM and TCM done my suggestion would be either buy a new ECM with the "FIRSTG8" deal or simply order the tune and flashxpress rental. This system when combined with a laptop will allow you to flash both your ECM and TCM in your vehicle with NO down time.

Any shipped within the last week have the speed limiter removed, sorry for the confusion that one kind of threw our development team for a loop!

I have had my tune for a few weeks now. What do I need to do to get the speed limiter removed like the new tunes are getting? I am going on a little trip into Nevada in a couple of weeks and was going to see what the top end is. I have @ 1600 miles on my GT. Please let me know if I can get the limiter removed in the next week or so. Thanks,

A lot of my driving is very short, in town, runs so MPG numbers are skewd but even under these conditions the numbers are better than stock and from a couple of highway trips I saw right around 3 mpg improvement if I cruised at a steady speed, 75.

Diitto. The tune I had yesterday at the VMS location produced the results discribed above and made for a sweet (but conservative) intake growl. Very worthwhile mod.!!

If you did our FIRSTG8 deal and have the spare ECM, simply send us the ECM and we'll update it for you!

I had the Roto-Fab CAI and (presumably) updated tune put in last friday. I'll lead by saying that i love the growl the CAI produces at high RPMs. I'm still not quite sure what to make of the MPG differences in my car however. I did a trip to grand rapids and back (from Detroit) in my tuned-only G8 and got a mpg readout of about 25.2. After the CAI i did the EXACT same trip and got 22.8. I'm sure a lot of factors go into the mpg calculation, but after installing something that should increase fuel efficiency, i did not expect to see a drop of 2.4 mpg. Nowhere during the entire trip did the readout exceed 23mpg. It could be because during trip one it was sunny and dry. During trip 2 it was colder, but still humid and wet.
Like i said, im still unsure at this point and i probably need to do more city/hwy driving over the next 2 weeks to make sure those numbers werent a fluke.
If Chris remembers my G8, I just wanted to be sure the Roto-Fab tune ('93 octane) was installed and not the standard tune (I was the idiot who unscrewed his bass knob from the amplifier and had it fall into a crevice of the trunk).

I posted some Vector 93 / Roto-Fab Tune MPG numbers in the "VMS ECM TUNE RESULTS: please share " thread. I probably should have posted them here instead. You can check out the thread if you are interested.
