How flexible are the flaps? They look awfully low to the ground, which means, potential to get ripped off. I'm having a hard enough time keeping my nose off the ground. Winter was NOT kind to the NorthEast.

Well I just measured it, and from the bottom of the flap to the ground you have 4 inches on the front, and 6 in the rear.

Very flexible and durable. As for winter, I had mud flaps on my jag, which was way closer to the ground, about 2 inches of clearance, never had a problem with snow and ice. Ice and snow would build up, but never warped it or damaged them. Had them on for two winters. only problem i had was speed bumps...damn speed bumps. G8, stock suspension, no worries of them hitting the ground or any speed bumps.

I think it looks great, and like i said, people noticed it at work and said it looked great as well. Only one way to find out if it'll make it through winter....stay tune to next spring!
lol

Thats more my concern... potholes make it hard enough, I don't want to go ripping flaps off the car.

I have a 2009 GT, will these flaps that are shown here I assume are the ones listed on the GM parts website. They say they are for the 2008 GT. Are they the same?

Why would they be any different? They didn't redesign the car or anything.

Mud flaps are an acquired taste and comes from living in an area where they sand, gravel and salt the roads in the winter.

That's why they're going on ours for the winter. They put a TON of sand/salt and crap on the roads here in Michigan. I'd like to keep it looking decent for a few years at least! My biggest worry is the nose and how many rock chips it might wind up with!

From a proud owner of mudflaps...they look great...I get lots of compliments about them; and, living in the northeast they'll keep the road crap, snow, salt, sand, and anything else off of the sides of the car.

People on this forum complain about paint problems. I don't want to be one of them.

It doesn't need any screws. The fronts use the two screws that are already in the fenderwell. You just remove them and then put the mud flap on then use those screws to hold it in place. On the bottom you drill a hole and use a plastic pop rivet that's included to hold it in place. The rears already have the rivets in place which you remove then drill out the hole at the bottom and then mount them in place. Everything you need to mount them and instructions are included in the kit.

Did you do anythig to protect the new holes from corrosion? a coat of paint or sealant of any sort? Will the drilling into the body void the corrosion warranty?

Plastic doesn't rust. That's what you drill into. The ground effects in the front and the wheel well liner in the rear.

I got them installed. I like the fronts, but the backs do look like the mug flaps that they are. However, overall I like the look. I wish they had more stylish splash guards though.
