12.70 @ 108
It took some time to get all the parts, but it performed as expected. Stock 19in tires with 33-35psi, launch 1200-1400rpms = best 60ft was 1.91 with 12.70 @ 108. Worst time = 12.94 @ 107 2.06 60ft. Only made 2 passes due to air temp and track closing. I feel with headers and converter and Kirk "the magician" @ VMS this car on drag radials will run low12s or high 11s in cooler weather. Once I change the cam it will be a solid 11sec car. Charlie

Most of a full second under what others with the same mods are running. Pretty impressive.

This is the second car with nearly the same mods with the same ET and almost the same trap that has been reported to us so far. I think this will be more the norm when people really figure out how to get these cars out of the hole.

That would be great, hope you're right. The only thing unusual I see on this car is the underdrive pulley. I've been trying to find out more about these.

Who had the other car....any time slips /video jus curious...not saying any one is eggaerating..but this is a very very quick time for the mods listed IMHO.
I have intake..exhaust..and practice lauching the car ..but I lauched the car just like above and cut a good RT and 60ft .I dont know if 20 to 30 more hp is going to slice off more than a tenth or two from my 13.8...Unless your TCM control is really waking up the tranny ..and shifting....I am being optomistic and hope this is the general case. Awesome run..I hope I can see many other repeat this!

Hey GRRRR8: Did you use sport shift? If you did, did you keep it in 3rd gear to finish?
I noticed now with the Roto CAI & VMS tune, if you leave it in sport shift the 3 to 4 shift happens at 104mph. If you manually keep it in 3rd gear, it can stay in 3rd until 107mph.

Ok I can see the doubters have come out to play and I understand. For the benefit of the people that actually build fast cars and have fast cars, here is how I did it. 51psi frt tire pressure = less rolling resistance. 4 gallons 93 octane= saves approx 100lbs=1/10. Let car cool with fans and generator to 130 degress. Less heat=more power. No burn out, 140 treadwear tires are only going to get greasier when hot. Drive around the water box and drop hopped it to clean tires off. At the launch the engine temp was 161 degrees.Sport mode hold 3rd in M3. Every .10 in the 1st 60ft is .15 on the big end. So any REAL racer can see that just this would make me about .4-.6 faster then the same car that wasnt equally prepared. Not to mention that I made a panel to stop engine air from entering Roto-fab, or the half dollar sizes hole in the lower plastic panel that is now opened to optimize volume. I hope this helps, but there will be a video and feature article soon. Charlie

Thanks for the recipe for success! I need headers, the HSRK, under drive pulley and most importantly, a great 60' time!
Also, thanks for the heads up on the front tire pressure (less rolling resistance). Were your rear tire pressures set at about 20-25?
Thanks again! And congrats!

Nice times!! What were the track conditions (prep, temp or DA)? I know the tracks here in so cal are crappy due to the high DA and temps.
I know that track conditions also plays a role in your times.
If you guys want to find Density Altitude go to this site. http://www.modulardepot.com/density2.php
Here is site to find out the temp and humidity on the day you raced.
http://www.wunderground.com/
If you want to know how to get your corrected times go here.
http://www.smokemup.com/auto_math/nh...on_factors.php
I'm happy to know that this is 13-12 sec car with the right mods. I put the same mods on my G35 and I barely broke into the 13's in Cali.
Do you have any pics of this panel that you made for the intake?

Someone just ran 13.4@104 with a completely bone stock G8. I don't think his times are that far off to be honest. Look at his mod list. Plus, an underdrive pulley is worth WAY more then you guys think. It ain't about what the dyno shows. Dynos are for tuning, 1/4 mile tracks are to show how fast the car is.

THANK YOU!!! I thought I was the only 1 that saw bone stock 13.40/.50 cars. I guess alot of time and $$$ cant possibly pick-up a mere 8 tenths.
