Default American Racing Headers Installed!

So yesterday I was able to bring my car to my uncles shop and have the headers installed. This by far was one of the easiest installs of any vehicle I've owned yet. The instructions are pretty basic, and only one page, but get the points across. The material and quality of this system is worth the price bar none. The only gripe of the system is the spacing between the round rubber stabilizer from the drive shaft. the passenger side header connection tube seems to be really close. I did try to adjust for more clearance but had no luck.

I do have a weird vibration through the vehicle when I get on it hard, it could be due to the exhaust tones. I'm going to lift the vehicle again today, recheck the system, and make sure all bolts are tightened down. Here are a few pics. Editing Video now!

Flash,
Looks like a nice kit. That should make the Maggi work easier. Having a nice uncle is better than doing it in your driveway when it's 104 out! Now it's time for a new dyno tune so you can get the most out of the lower restriction exhaust. Have fun expanding the mod list!

Looks very nice. Can you get a photo past the collectors where the cats would be?
Also, what's the clearance from the black cross plate? It looks pretty close on yours, but it could be camera angle.

Did you remove your driveshaft when you were installing the system? If so, that's where i would start with your vibration problem.

Otherwise, it looks sweet, nice job!

Didnt have to remove the drive shaft, it may just be a noise vibration, but it does get annoying as I'm driving. The flowmasters being a chambered muffer could be contributing.

Flash, That's where I would check first. With the factory mufflers the cars are dead silent with regards to vibrations. Of course double check all clearances. There's is definetely some adjustability in the system.
BTW, thanks for going with ARH. Let us know how you make out on the dyno.

We just installed another system today in a G8 , along with our New Era Intake system and underdrive crank pulley , it made 347rwhp and 360 rwtq on our Dynojet dyno , and it was 96 degrees here today .

Yes , as stated , it was 96 degrees out and humid as hell though which definitely effected the actual dyno numbers . The car made 298 rwhp and 321 rwtq earlier this morning when it was about 15 degrees cooler and the humidity was down . So a gain of 49 rwhp and 39 rwtq isn't bad considering the weather conditions !

Yes they are! And it ran like a whole different car as the temp dropped, (as we predicted Mike). I love the ARH system but damn Nick! Hows about a t-shirt to go along with those stickers lol! These cars are just like my Harley...I always feel better spending all that money if I get a t-shirt

omg jealousy. That was awsome. Here's the complete list of things I want to do to my G8. VMS ECM/TCM tune for 93, Roto-fab CAI, ARH system, Magnaflow catback mufflers, underdrive crank pulley, 160 degree thermostat, and finally Pontiac G8 GEN TT Intercooled Twin Turbo Kit. I think that would show some good gains lol! I'd love to hit in excess of 500 to the wheel.

You may want to reconsider those mods.

-magnaflow catback and the ARH headers don't work together
-putting ARH headers on the car, won't work with a TT system.

Hell, just the Haddad blower setup made almost 500rwhp. I don't think you need ALL of those things to hit that goal.

Really? That's good i don't need all that. But i ment just the mufflers from the magnaflow for the sound. N' I didn't know the turbo kit wouldn't work. Ah well those are the things i wanted to do, not like i can afford all that any time soon anyway lol

No after market cam, as for the filter, it was the only one we had. So I got stuck with it. No cam yet, still trying to figure out the vibrations underneath the vehicle, It may be the exhaust heat cover plates that are vibrating, I'll be having it looked at tonight. I may add some 12" glass packs to quiet the raspyness of the flow masters. They sound good, just at certain RPM they have a little bit of unwanted tone. But overall they still sound better to then Magnaflows IMHO.
