Default No more stock radio!

Ok guys so I know how most of you hate the stock radio. Well I decided it was time to get rid of it and replaced it with a pioneer 7 inch nav and had to buy a folcik 4 in screen to control the temp controls. In order for it to all fit I had to get a custom face plate made. Let me tell you this thing looks pretty sweet an I would love to show you guys but I can't figure out how to put pics on here. If someone can help me with that I would love to show you guys what it looks like. I was able to put the pic in my profile so if you guys go there you can see it also.

Here is the pic from your profile. Next question is where did you buy the 4" screen? Who did the install? And how much did it run you?

I would just make a photobucket account (its free) and then post the link on here. If u do this it gives u 4 link options...use the bottom one.

Thanks for posting that pic for me and I got the screen at folcik.com and had it installed at a car audio shop by my house. The screen cost me 400 and the install cost me 200 and that includes the custom face plate he had to make.

That's awesome!

Next year I might approach some of my local shops to do something similar.

check out http://www.invisicord.com/index.html to get rid of that cord covering your pretty screen. I rock it and love it, install is 30 seconds

I like almost everything. The Kit holding the radio and temp screens seem bland. May I suggest a carbon fiber look like some of the guys do with there trim.

I don't have anything else that's carbon on or in the car and I kind of like how it blends in with everything. It is a good thought thought though. I was also thinking about painting it red but I'm not to sure about it.

looks good! I would love to do something like this but add some shape to the faceplate with some fiberglass/bondo, maybe match the contour a little better.

Care to say about how much the whole set up ran you?

Really your the first person I know no to like it, but im sure there's different way you can make it and probably make it look better but since I'm the first person I know to have it done I think it looks pretty good but everyone has there opinion. The radio I got for free from a family member but those usually cost about 1200-1500 and the temp screen was 400 and the face plate and install was 200 so only cost me 600. Let me tell ya it's way better then stock and I love it.

Thumbs up Improved sound quality?

Very Very Cool!! I was thinkin about selling the G partly because of stereo issues (It Sucks Bigtime) and a lack of options for aftermarket integration. I was considering dropping 2 large to upgrade to the holden IQ system. But now I am considering this as a legit option.

I have a couple questions if you could answer them I would be grateful.

Did the new head unit improve sound quality?
Did you add an amp or two, maybe new speakers?
Did you have radio reception problems with the factory unit and if so did your mods solve/improve radio reception?
Does it dimm with the instrumentation back-light, I mean can you controll brightness with gauge dimmer?
