Question Time to loose some weight?

I've been thinking about getting a new set of EC-7 wheels and shed some wheel weight, about 5 pounds per corner.

I know option A is safe, no rub. I think option 2 is about the same as what I'm currently running, just a bit wider towards the inside on the rear if my math is correct...and I think C may be pushing it on the front offset. What's your opinion?

I plan on mounting 275/40/18 all around.

My options are:

A. F:18x8.5" ET35 - 20.10 lbs, R:18x9.5" ET58 - 20.65 lbs

2. F:18x8.5" ET35 - 20.10 lbs, R:18x10" ET43 - 21.95 lbs

C. F:18x9.0" ET42 - 20.75 lbs, R:18x10" ET43 - 21.95 lbs

4. F:18x9.0" ET42 - 20.75 lbs, R:18x9.5" ET58 - 20.65 lbs

(Options 2 and C have a more concave rear wheel, which I really like)

I'm currently running:

F:19x8.5" ET45 - 26ish lbs, R:19x9.5" ET50 - 28ish lbs

Options 2 and C would have the second profile on the rear, so it would be a bit more concave on the rear than the front. I really like that look, so I'm leaning towards 2 or C.

Go option 4, will fit perfect on the car, don't worry about the fronts. You could do a 9.5" on a +40 and be fine.

The +58 will tuck too much IMO.

I'd say option 2.

Won't tuck too much. CTS-V rear wheels are a 9.5" wide on a +56et offset...

Do the 18's clear Brembos? It looks like you want to stay with a staggered setup right? If so then my vote would be 4.

If I had to do this I would do a 18x9.5 +43 all around with a 3mm spacer up front. Then I can do 275's on all 4 corners and able to rotate tires.

So I checked my math, and 2 and C will push the rear out 13mm, and I'm only loosing 5mm with the tire, so it's now between option A and 4. A is more than a half pound less...

I voted A. The weight difference was better and I think that setup will look best.

if you want to do 275s all around why not just do 9 or 9.5s all around. if you do 9 up front and 10 in the rear, or 8.5 up front and 9.5 in the rear with 275s all around, your front tires are going to look larger then the rears, and that just doesnt look right.

there are the nurburgrings, and 18x9.5 et 40mm is a perfect offset for 9.5 and 275s all around. they are 20lbs each too, and clear the brembos.

If weight reduction is your target ... don't miss to consider new tires weight.

from brand/line to another there might be as much as 5-8lb per tire extra weight.
Michilen and Conti are known for lower weight tires in general.
