Default Came close to kicking this idiots ass

First let me say I am not a violent guy, I believe in "Live and Let Live". Having said that I took my Lady to a movie Sunday afternoon. This is a movie plex (24 theatres) so the lot is way huge. I park the G8 in a far corner alone, away from other cars. Came out 2 hours later and there is a minivan next to my car.I backed in and he pulled in so our passenger doors are facing and he is close. This guy gets out of the van and I stop him. I tell him he needs to move his van because I can't open the door without hitting him.
He said "stuff like that doesn't bother me if you would rather hit my van than pull out to get into your car, then go ahead". I said I shouldn"t have to do that I was parked there first and he parked next to me. I then asked why he chose to park there anyway with so many other spaces available. He didn't answer the question, he went on about his right to park anywhere he wanted and a car is just a car blah blah blah. Thats when I lost it, I told him I didn't want to hear that s... move the van "NOW". That rattled him, he started to back away from me.
It was at this time security rode up and asked what the problem was. He told his side and I mine. The officer said "sir there are alot of spaces available, why "DID" you decide to park in this corner? " Guy got beet red in the face and said he didn't feel he had to explain his actions. But since it appeared to be such a big deal he would move.
Officer then told me he stopped driving his 2011 SS Camaro to work because someone scratched it in the lot, probably from doing what this guy did. So he understood my frustration. I thanked him and left but that guy "Really" pushed my button.

sometimes you just have to lay down the law. Better to address it with him there then show up to your car and have mystery dents on it.

People that do that crap are either jealous or just don't respect anyone else's property. I fear the day that I come out of Walmart and see something like this next to my car in the farthest corner of the lot, not just because of what might happen to the G8, but because of what might happen to the driver of the other car. I can guarantee you whatever plans I have the rest of the day would wait until the owner came back out!

Agreed 100% with the quote and your reaction. Be thankful nothing happened to your car. I posted a thread a month or so back where I parked far away in a lot, in between parking lines and came out to a key mark down the entire driver side door. Some people just don't care or understand.

In college I waited at a grocery store for two hours to greet the woman who parked her Buick against the front bumper of my GP GTP. Loved that car, but not as much as this one. I'd call people for a tent and sleeping bag if need be for my G8.

Had the same thing happen a few months ago while i was at Walmart. I very rarely drive my car when I know in advance I have to go to Wal-Mart to begin with, but this particular time, I needed an item, and it was on my way, around 8;30 at night. I park in the back forty, not another car in sight, perfect. I walk all the way to the store and am in and out in less than 15 minutes. Dodge Caravan parked up next to my car, passenger to passenger. I'm by myself, so no need to get in on passenger side, and obviously because of how close it is, no one got out of passenger side of the van either. But I'm absolutely fuming. I decide to wait. Waited for over an hour. Nothing. It then dawns on me it could be a 3rd shift employee, and for a moment, I debate on going back in to see if I can find the owner, but by then I'd lost interest. So totally obvious what was done. Really burns my chaps. No damage done to my car, otherwise.....

Never understood why people do that. Its a total waste of time. I saw a guys car get keyed cuz it parked far away from others and some random guy drove up in a bucket and was like Im going to get this duche bag. Keyed the car then drove and parked some where else and him his friends were laughing talking about we showed that guy. Im like really you key a mans car you dont even know because he parked somewhere else...o_O

I was talking to my brother about this and he told me he carries a valve stem tool with him for instances like this. He takes two of their valve stems out (one more than the number of spare tires) and tapes them to their window. He figured if someone wants to act like a douche and disrespect his stuff, the least he can do is repay them with the inconvenience of two flat tires, without a destruction of property charge.

I kinda like it... Might have to start carrying one

Actually it is illegal believe it or not, the state trooper I work with said its intent to damage property and you will get locked up for it. That said I'd take all 4!

It happens all the time. That d-bag was probably parking there just to piss you off because you took the time to park out of harm's way.

I lost it once, having parked my Escalade in the back of the lot, only to come out and find a ratty old Civic parked so close to the driver's side, I couldn't get in. I was parked perfectly between the lines, but this a-hole decided that he was going to show the owneer of this Caddy his opinion!

I wasn't about to try to climb over the center console, so I tried to place the driver's door against the other car and see if I could squeeze in. No dice. So, I got pretty angry, pushed out on my door hard, and creased that little tin can like it was a...tin can. Pushed his passenger door right in. For good measure, I pushed some more...

Like I said...I lost it...

don't take any, just loosen them a little so they have a slow leak. It'll take them months to figure out why the tires keep going flat.

I have been really lucky to avoid door dings with all my cars...knock on wood. So I got my 2009 just a couple months ago and it if FLAWLESS...not even a rock chip anywhere. and about 3 weeks into it...I find a nice ding in the driver side quarter panel. It was very easy to find the culprit/s.

Because my car had been in the garage for a few days because of an early snow storm we got and the scratch was not there before parking in the garage.

Needless to say, NONE of my three kids would admit to doing it out of fear that I would come unglued on them...which is probably smart...because there would have been one less kid in my family!!!! joking of course.

For me, my first ding came from my own family member! GRRRRRR. Kids for sale cheap!

I take my Excursion to the following places:
Target
Costco
Home Depot
Kroger
Mall
I don't EVER shop at Walmart because of the blatant carelessness of their cart staff and most of their shoppers.

It is a shame. I also do not park far away in the G8 because I am afraid some jealous fool will key me because he thinks I am d bag for parking away from harm.

Happened to me last month, went shopping in the SLS, parked way out back where no shopping carts could reach. Once I came out I saw two civics parked on both sides of my car, leaving only inches between my car and theirs. Not being physically able to get in, I waited for the owners to come out. Turns out to be some 16 year olds. After a little argument and them refusing to move their vehicles, I had the cops called. Long story short one of the kids ended up getting their car towed for not being able to provide insurance. Cant stand people who hate.
