Default New Grand National and GNX

Well, this is interesting:

New Grand National and GNX

Having owned many performance Buicks over the years, I'll definitely be interested to see what they come up with. Since it says they're basing it on the ATS platform I think that's a good sign. Hope they live up to the name, the Regal GS disappointed by being neutered.

Oh wow, the new C7 LT1 engine would be amazing in that small car! Please GM, do it!

I don't think they will put the V8 in there. It would be too much competition for the upcoming ATS-V.

Nice first pics. Hope they don't plain it down for what eventually goes on sale. Coupe would have been nice though.

I think they can get away with putting the LT1 in the GNX as long as it's detuned so it doesn't eclipse the Corvette or ATS-V. You know, like they did with the LS3 in the GXP.

Now, I need to see if I fit in an ATS. If I do, a 400+ HP version at a sub-$40K price would be enough to make me at least consider trading in the G8.

You don't turn in the G8! That's an instant classic (I don't care what they say.) You simply add to the collection!

You should have no problem fitting in a ATS, there is plenty of cockpit room. The backseat on the other hand is questionable. I currently work at the GM plant that builds the CTS/V and the ATS. We havent started production of the ATS V yet but its rumored to have a TT 3.6 with aprox 485whp.

I'm a Buick guy, bringing the ATS platform as a TriShield with TT or LT power makes me salivate.

Fast with Class is a slogan that needs to come back.
