No, I get the wire from a supplier then provide the IAT sensor and rubber garmot. With this kit vs vectors there are no differences. It's the same concept(relocate the IAT)

I use a New Era OTR CAI, what are your recommendations for location of sensor?

There are to many variables that can come into play to get an accurate result. It all comes down to where you place the IAT sensor and the actual temp going through the MAF. You want to place the sensor in a area that gives the actual intake temp and doesnt heat up (heatsoak) from the engine heat.

Great seller, got mine in 4 days and good looking product. Have yet to install. Looking for a good location using Rotofab and lower grill mod. Recommendations welcome. PM me as not to highjack sellers thread.

From the MAF connector to the IAT connector is 16inches.

I must say, great seller, just installed mine the other night on my rotofab, i put it just under the filter, as close to the inlet at the bottom of the rotofab air box, seems like apretty effective area to put it, although the car has been in the garage, guess we wont find out until i bring it back out lol

So where would I exactly put this with my rotofab?? And I thought the iat on these cars were inter connected with maf sensors. How u separate that??

That's what the HSRK does. Removes the IAT from the MAF and allows u to run an external IAT. Which help prevent heat soaking

Does this use a stock IAT sensor or is it upgraded with the quicker thermistor?

There is no stock IAT other than in the MAF. With hsrk u use 97+ gm IAT sensors nothing special.

That's what I meant by stock - stock GM or modified. Some of the aftermarket harnesses come with a modified thermistor for decreased response time.

How does this block or go around the factory maf one?? I'm just tryin to figure this out a little better. My 02 camaro had an iat sensor so I know what that is new to the new school maf stuff.

This can also be known as an IAT Relocation kit. The stock MAF (Mass Air Flow) has an Intake Air Temp sensor in it. This cable bypasses the stock IAT sensor and allows you to put it up stream. The reason for this is that the MAF gets heatsoaked and screws up accurate temp readings, thus reducing potential power.
