They are only about $3,000, better off spending your money elsewhere.

whaaat?! 3000 for fenders?? if they match perfectly stock to stock (g8 fender and hsv) could i simply buy the hsv the grill and cut the metal of the g8 fender to match? or something...

Not sure, but if you got $3000 you can buy them from http://www.jhpss.com/Pontiac-G8/Bodykit.htm

I'm sure if you were dedicated you could do something similar in a custom setup.

I agree $3000 is absolutely insane for a set of fenders.

Definately have to pay to play! The fenders really do set the car off though.

That's just ridiculous $3,000 for a pair fenders.

When you look at the back of the fender, you can see where it was cut and welded back together. Not sure where you can order just the lower half, if you even can.

I've wanted these things too, but that price is beyond absurd. I know they're coming from Australia, but there is a butt load of markup in that price for someone's time getting it to the states. Still... I may pay to play eventually. Think I'd rather track down another parts source first.

Then again, I haven't checked exchange rates in a few weeks, maybe the dollar has depreciated that much, I mean the fed just can't seem to stop printing it out of thin air.... ahhh but I digress.

I can't imagine no one has created a set to sell. Even at $1,500 thats a steal and someone could make these for far less then that.

I saw some amazing pictures off when Peter G 'made his'. A LOT of work went into it, donno what the labor would be, but certainly not 'cheap'.

I should stay off ebay AU but bought a set of front damaged HSV fenders. To save on shipping and since they were damaged I had them cut off the lower sections. I will graft them onto a set of new G8 fenders. I own a hot rod body shop so can do the work in house. This way the factory two piece seam will be gone as well. When I was looking I did find someone in Australia who was repoping them in fiberglass.

If they don't sell just the lower half what happens if you damage them? Extra screwed...

Yeah the two pieces are welded together, pretty sure they only sell the whole fender as one piece. It's probably cheaper if you live in Australia.
