Cars you wish you never got rid of...

Most of us have done it, and those of us that have not will. We sold a car and now we wish we never would have done it. List yours, a link to a picture of it would be great.

1970 Trans Am (Blue; Ram Air III, 4 spd, optional interior, etc)
1965 GTO (two, I never learn. Both 3-2 4-speeds, one a red convertible, other a blue 2-dr post)
1984 Indy Fiero (mod when I sold it: 180 hp HO Quad 4 w/ 5-speed Getrag)
1949 Streamliner Deluxe (black, straight 8, Hydramatic)

And I'll probably add my '08 G8 GT to the list after I sell it, but that happens.

1997 Ford Thunderbird V8 Sport.

Got rid of it because it was getting unreliable with over 100,000 miles on it, but the G8 hasn't been any more reliable. Bleeping cardboard suspension! At least every problem that the dealer could reproduce has been fixed under warranty, and I bought an extended warranty for it. Now suffering with an intermittent thumping noise from both front and rear suspension, that goes away every time I take it to the dealer.

Gone but not forgotten: 2009 Pontiac G8 GT, White Hot, Premium, Sport. Tune is "Down Under" by Men At Work.

My 72 Formula 400 FireBird. Spent 10 years building it, 3 years parked in the garage, sold in 2 days for $18,000 cash.

I don't even have any pics of it anymore after our basement flooded.

I have many regrets:
'68 Shelby GT350
'70 OLDS 442 convertable "Indy Pace Car" 1 of 178
'68 Corvette convertable (327cu)
'69 GTO
'72 OLDS 442 convertable
'68 SS 396 Camaro (Stolen)

Most of these cars i bought pretty cheap and after seeing the recent Mecum auctions I think if i had been able to hang on to them what they'd be worth but the reality is I had to sell one to finance the next and so on....

The only one, was my Mazda RX8. It was a 2004 and I got rid of it in 2008 with only 20K miles on it. It was a VERY fun to drive....DRIVERS car that I miss till this day.

I love my G8, but I wish I would have figured out a way to keep it....yes, I want my cake and eat it too.

Maybe, TCHR49, you got a chance here to relive/reclaim the fun of that past car ...

I've had some nice cars, but in reality I got rid of each one because I wanted to, for something else. So right now, no regrets.

2008 MGM G8GT no mods, I'm the first and third owner! Just glad to be driving a G8 again!

'04 Ford Lightning. Stupid torque, stupid power. In a 5,000 lb. truck. My only vehicle I've regretted getting rid of.

None! Still have my first car, 1967 Camaro SS. Needs a resto when I have time which seems like never with a wife and two kids.

1972 Chrysler New Yorker. What a huge boat! Drove it for a year of college to keep my truck in good shape. I'll probably have to grab up another one someday.

'69 Mustang Mach 1, white w/ red stripes, auto, 351W
'72 VW Type III Fastback, completely built racing motor, FI removed in favor dual Weber carbs, Metallic Bronze w/ simple white pinstripe and stock tires and rims. Looked like a grandma car, but could beat a lot of Porsches and Corvettes from light to light in traffic. Topped out at 95 due to horrible transmission. Loads of fun to drive, though.

Nice selection... But my preffered ones are the TR5 and 6. Triumph screwed with the TR7 and 8. TR4 and 3 looked too outdated for me.

The one that actually I really wanted, my dad got rid of it and was my car, the one that I learned to drive and was a 75 Monte Carlo. The one that I was happy to get rid of was a 80 Honda Prelude (hated it so much to the point that I swore not to buy a Honda product ever again).
