When I talked to roto-Fab they said the SS would not fit the G8 because of the G8 power steering pump. The SS has electric steering and therefore, no pump. The SS intake takes advantage of this space. It will be interesting to see is the SS box can be modified to fit.
The G8 R_F is designed to seal the open top of the box against the hood liner. I don't have a hood liner anymore and because of this I saw my IAT running higher and not dropping as far or a quickly as when I had a hood liner.
Until i could find another solution, I made a cover from .080" Acrylic sheet, some edge trim, the R-F airbox sealing gasket and some cable ties. It was easy to make and made a huge difference in IAT. It is easy to remove and install with no tools as the R-F gasket is now part of the cover and installs by just lining up the u-channel of the gasket with the top outline of the airbox and pushing it on.
