Officially official... Parting out the GXP

Thats right folks, Im going to put her back to stock.

Seems noone wants an already tastefully modded car for a fraction of what it cost to build.

Intake and headers will come off first as I have stockers to put back on.

Looking for 400 for the rotorfab with Radiator cover combo (ill even install for free)

Looking for 1000 for the SLP Headers

On the mufflers, Im looking to get 300 + stock mufflers (ill do the labor)

For the CTS-V wheels 1000 + stock GXP wheels (ill do the labor)

All the prices are OBO so if you have a reasonable number in mind let me know and we can talk.

Once I get everything off Ill have the car for sale at Gay Pontiac.

If there is a person out there that wants it as it sits... It has 402 ATW with the tune, and looks awesome with the caddy wheels and has great traction compared to the stock rubber.

LMK

38,900.00 takes it as it sits

36,500.00 once everything is off

Trade it in, they seem to be getting decent money on trades.

I can't get what I want so I have to go another direction. I love the car and am certain I will miss it, but I usually don't keep anything for more than 6 months and we are about there.

The GXp's are still commanding a higher then expected price that i want to pay, and to trade my G8 in, i would go upside down on it. I was at a local dealer and they only wanted to give me 20K for my 2008 (with only 3K miles on the clock!), I would have to come up with another 5K which will be tacked on to the new car, making for some ridicules high car payments.

I'll wait a few more months, the folks who leased theirs will be turning them in and others will be year old, so the price drop in the used GXP's should be good by then to maybe purchased a low mileage one. I got a guy here at work who is itching to buy mine so it may all just work out.....
Although the camaro's are looking good too right about now...

Is the full power train warranty going to be in effect? I know some dealers would void a power train warranty after the mods you have done to it.

Well, it may not make any sense to say it this way based on what we are describing...

But its all patience. LOL

I dont buy many new cars, usually pre-owned. But I always wait for the right deal. If the vehicle and the numbers don't say do it, I don't.

I've been thru over 50 cars in my 14 years of driving. I am a car nut.

Next will be something or several things from a long list of wants.

86-87 Grand National or really clean T-type
72ish El Camino
70 Chevelle
69 Nova
73 Camaro

Ideally I'd like a combination of the GN and any other one of these on the list.

Whatever it is, It will need to qualify for collectable insurance.

A good friend of mine just went about 2 or 3 weeks ago to a place in DFW area test drove a NEW White 6 speed GXP-
He has connection for the employee discount on top of all other discounts that apply. (no GM cash/points)
He was rolling in 2K in negative-- And he was financing 39.5K. (he changed his mine, but was approved.

39.5K - 2K negative that was added on is 37.5K (AFTER TTL)

so it was easily 36.5K in the month of Jul.

But you are right they are drying up fast. So maybe they will jack prices up I don't know.

Good luck with your sell.

I would buy a GXP used for 32K tops. But that is me.
