I rented an SS Camaro in May 2013 from LAX. I had a Camry booked from Australia, but when we got to Avis the clerk asked if I wanted to upgrade to a car from their "cool collection"??
When he pointed to a red Camaro I was sold. He could have said an extra $100 a day
& I would have signed up. (I think the car ended being approx $400 dollars more than
the Camry we had booked. We had the car for 15 days so the extra cost was minimal I thought)
I thought the Camaro was a V6. I only gave it a boot full once doing a U-turn where the oncoming traffic was closing quicker than I thought. I said to the cook then: -"gee this thing screams for a V6"
It was only after when I put a photo up here that someone pointed out it was a V8.
I loved that car & the 2 weeks that I was with her was like an affair.....
One day here in Australia I will get one...
(The Heads Up Display on that car is what made me get a new SS here in Australia.
Probably a gimmick, but a feature that does i t for me...))
