I know how you feel on that, they build the cars perfect both G8 and Camaro for GPS but don't install them. Thats one of my disappointments on the G8. The screen teases me and passengers everyday. "Ooh it has GPS too!?" and answer with a disappointing no

13' GT500 > ZL1

Kinda Like... 11' 5.0 GT > 11' SS

Sorry but Ford has really stayed one step ahead the past 5 yrs.

Not true..... the 2013 GT500 is yet to be tested and proven... it has potential for sure, but Ford has always had a problem with putting power to the ground... the CTS-V has been better than the GT500 for the last 3yrs...

The camaro SMOKED the mustang in 2009 and 2010...... the 2011 mustang was MUCH better..... I would give the power to weight ratio obviously to the mustang, but over all ability and ride quality to the Camaro..... until Ford does an I.R.S. they will never ride or handle as well as they should....

RU KIDDING LMAO....? Really now put brand loyalty aside for 5 minutes here. the 11' GT is better than the SS in almost every way even with a solid rear. Have u been under a rock? And Fords Live Axle setup is quite a marvel... and it shoud be noted they still have it because Ford customers ask for it... something the bowtie aint to good at... i'd still rather have a vette for that price. the back seat in the camaro is basically useless anyway.

well GM must be doing something right with their customers, since the camaro has began outselling the mustang for a few months now, and it's not slowing down either.

Ok I am listening... start listing FACTS of how the 2011 is better with PROOF, not your opinion.....

No response to my correcting you with the 5yr comment? I don't mind discussion, but can't stand exaggeration

Live axle is a personal preference for drag racing only....

The camaro has OUT SOLD the mustang almost EVERY month since it returned in 2009 with only a hard top most of that time.... not yelling at you, just agreeing loudly ;-)

Drove one of these last week. REALLY fun car. My only problem is the headroom, when I hit a bump, my head hits the roof (I'm 6'2). The blind spots are still bad, but after about 10 minutes of driving, I didn't even notice them anymore. I guess I'll have to stick to my G8, maybe CTS-V one day.

Awesome performance but the new Camaros are ugly in my opinion. Dealer was trying to sell me one instead of the G8. Sorry I know this is the New Camaro section...I just came across it lol.

Not every car appeals to everyone.

But being around the ZL1 in person day in day out...those things are amazing in person. I'd give my GXP up for a ZL1 or a V wagon...

I agree. When I first saw pictures of the ZL1, I wasn't impressed with the changes. I liked the look because it was a camaro, but wasn't impressed. I didn't like the rims either.

Then I went to the BBOMG at the camaro assembly plant in oshawa and got to see and video the car in person....wow... it was awesome. and now I LOVE the rims... I can't wait to order a set of rims

MnIrishJr: i noticed you didnt say 12 zl1> 12 Gt500, plus also i have been watching this car for 6 months now, drag times can easly be tuned right to hit 10s just gm dosn't want to make it that way because they want to sell the camaro and not have to have a higher price. Its got the cts-v engine in it with zr1 suspension and drive ability. Fastest speed without guvnor is 207 mph. Then the one thing that i want to try is you can drive 160 mph and have 0 nose lift (like when you drag race the nose lift, not on the zl1). So on my view point its a car that can easly be tuned to be insanely good.

Mods: HID's, New Engine, New Tune, VCM OTR CAI, 1 7/8 ARH to Solo exhaust, Spoiler, Gxp rear defuser, Custom Sound System, Suspension, Brakes, and lowered.

Price points like this make no sense to me - if you're in the market for a vette you've already succumbed to the fact that you're buying a completely impractical car. So you walk into a dealer and a ZL1 camaro is on the lot - what kind of an a$$hole buys a BASE vette for the same price as a ZL1 camaro - not this a$$hole that's for sure.

You could argue the camaro is heavier, but it gets a superior transmission and suspension on top of that extra weight plus more room.....it makes no sense to pay the price they want on the base vettes.

why is it impractical? If you're referring to the fact that there are no back seats...have you ever sat in a Camaro? Adjust the front seats to where you are comfortable, then look back and see how much room your passengers will have...just about none.

Hate bringing an ancient thread back from the dead.

But all GT500 are built on the Ford assembly line. they are factory cars, built primarily by SVT with Shelby name on them. Super Snakes, Shelby GT/SC are equivalent to Lingenfelter cars. But a regular GT500 is a factory car

Well, one of you are wrong. I don't know which, one said Shelby is factory, the other said it is a "Lingenfelfter" equivalent. Or maybe I am misunderstanding what is what

Reading comprehension is a skill that some just can not seem to master. Perhaps some of you guys should read s-l-o-w-e-r and maybe re-reading previous posts 2 or 3 times may be in order as well.
