Big car on the mountain...

Took the GXP up into the mountains to test it out with a local euro group and my buddy followed in his autox prepped camaro with a camera. i chopped a few sections out because it was just boring sections, for a big car this thing does well.

You manual or auto? Done similar runs in my GT in both Sport and manual mode. Keep the RPMs up and you can blast through a lot of the corners you slowed for. This car is very stable under acceleration, even in the twistys, and the brakes are super with no fade.

manual and that was the first time i had taken a rwd car in the mountains. a lot of those turns were at the limit of the front tires grip, brakes were never a problem and on throttle corner exit only became a problem during the last 2 miles or so... i'm no stranger to wide open on mountain roads...

Glad to hear your stepping up to a RWD full size car was enjoyable after all your FWD smaller car experiences. Throwing around a lot more weight with the G8, all fun stuff!

crap, did carolina euros do another mountain drive and i missed it?

probably wasnt, but they used to do one twice a year, but not anymore

we should get together a g8, and others one together, i know a few people would be up for it. including me..
i have a few videos on my youtube, of me up at little switzerland, also a great place.

i would deffently look into lowering springs, that camaro was planted, keeping up but the gxp looked to be swaying all around. nothing new, the stock springs on this car just have way too much travel...
