Pronounced Resonance/Reverberation

Hey everyone,

Just bought a solo mach unbalanced kit and it has been working out wonderfully. However, I am experiencing a resonance/reverberation when traveling under moderate throttle right around 2100-2300 rpm. This is most pronounced when traveling on an inclined surface and usually in 5th gear as 4th and 6 avoid this trouble zone.

I am going to go back to the shop and have everything re-tightened and double checked; just wondering if this is par for the exhaust or something that can be fixed?

There are a few things to check:

1. Make sure all clearances are acceptable (ex: muffler clearance from tunnel)
2. Tighten the heat shield. It is known to come loose.
3. Make sure J-pipes measure 9 inches from the end cap to the start of the bend. Any difference can make a big difference. Both sides must be equal. From there, you can tweak it in 1/2 inch increments if needed.

I hope this helps.
