overkill tune

So now that a few members have had the tune in use for a good amount of time are you finding you still really love it? I'm ordering this at Xmas and would like to know your reviews now that you've had it for a bit. I know I'm excited to get it what are your favorite things this tune has done for your car?

I absolutely love it. I used to always drive in sport mode before the tune because there just wasn't enough pep for me. Now I only go in sport when someone wants to race or if I'm in a hurry. As for MPGs, it is better without a doubt. Not by much. Maybe 1-1.5mpg more a gallon on the city in both sport and normal drive. Having said that, I am not light on the throttle by any means. On the freeway I noticed I can get around 25-27mpg cruising. If you are light on the throttle I'm sure your numbers will go up even more than that.

My favorite part of the tune would probably be how responsive the throttle is when getting on it especially when going uphill and at higher speeds on the freeway and just in general. You will really like how long the gears are held now and the shift points. It is a whole other beast now. I still haven't taken it past 4th at WOT so idk how hard this thing will keep pulling! I raced my buddies stock 11 335d again just for fun and he still just barley creeps nearing the top of 3rd but that's his 440+ lbs of torque workin for him! With my headers I'm gettin within the next month I hope on gettin a bit more even with him. Then after my rear end swap ill get him!

My favorate thing is surprising the v8 guys with how well she keeps up with their better 6 spd trans. A few guys tell me that it also sounds a bit different which is nice. All positive from my guys. You will not regret it and the price cant be beat. Took my to the drags and gained about 3-4 tenths. Weather and track conditions play a huge part and so do the mods you get done.

Thanks guys. I have my intake and axle backs done on it now. Think I'll do insulators when I do my plugs. I have been debating headers or not but still on the fence about it. Really looking forward to installing the tune over the winter so when she comes out of storage it will be like a whole new car I've been told to look out around Xmas as it will prob be on sale so that's my plan!

For those who have the tune, if you order the tune and then add a cold air intake or whatever else is there an additional cost to re-tune the modules?

Panther Black 09
~20% tint, GXP Diffuser, Costar Bluetooth, K&N Intake~

When I asked will about a retune when I do the rear end swap, he told told me I'd just have to pay the shipping and handling when sending the modules back

That seems reasonable as long as he's willing to do that for everyone. I suppose I'll just ask him when I'm closer to getting the tune
