Finally done detailing.

I took 7 hours to detail the exterior. Clay bar, cutting agent, and Polish. Still have to seal the paint. This is my first photo. Enjoy!

That's impressive.
I can wash polish shine the whole nine yards, but you just can't get Hot White to pop like other colors.

Thanks. I have a white Passat and I have no reason to do what I did to the G8. It does not show any swirls or anything.

Cutting was Maguires 105. Rotary buffer was a Griot's garage 6 inch dual action random orbital polisher.

I find that the best way to make white cars 'pop' is to make sure you get the black trim pieces to pop. The contrast of deep black trim pieces against a nice clean white car really makes it stand out.

Awesome job. It is amazing how well pampered G8's can be rubbed and buffed to look better than new ten years hence. You the man.

It is hard to find that kind of time but once you set your mind to do it and have tunes in the garage it was kind of nice to take care of it. I was exhausted after I was done and my arms felt like they were going to fall off. There may be a professional detail job done in my future since 7 hours is a long time.
