Colorado Track Times

New to the board, been lurking for a while, learning! Also adding a thread to this region since its been quiet.

Looking for information on track times and mods if you are willing to post.

More specifically:
Stock GT - Times and MPH
Stock GXP - Times and MPH

At Bandimere.

Mods to get into the thirteens?

In addition, are the cammed/header cars passing emissions? Thank you for your time.

Good question about emissions. I'm still running IL plates and waiting for approval for vanity CO plates. How does emissions work here in CO, does it differ for each county, is it needed to be done every year, how do they test?
Thinking about going catless in the spring so this will help with that decision.

Is it better to run at Bandimere or down in Pueblo?

Based on what I know, emissions is on a as per county basis, required once every two years.

It's my understanding if you drive past an emissions vehicle at least three times within those two years you may or may not be required to go to the emissions testing center. Your vehicle registration renewal form will tell you if your required to or not.

Unfortunately I'm in weld county and it is now required.

I haven't been to Pueblo, however Bandimere has a nice drag racing facility. I think the only complaint I ever hear about is about the porta pottys.

Any track times from Illinois? What are you doing for a vanity plate?

Track times in IL are so much more friendly.

Slik, you're right. As long as you drive by those emissions vehicles you can pass without going to the station. You can find the location of the vans on their website aircarecolorado.com

The biggest problem is when you register your vehicle the first time you have to present the DMV with your emissions pass, after that you can hunt down the vans. Most of the mustang guys are passing the sniffers but failing the visual tests. A lot of mustangs came with 4 factory cats and they check to make sure they are all there. I'm not sure how many G8s came with.

I'm hoping to get: 6L G8, then I'll keep the rear debadged and just add back the arrowhead. I sent out the form a couple weeks ago and am just waiting upon confirmation.

I went to GONE 2012 and ran a 13.4 @ 106mph, this was with Kooks mids, Roto-fab, Solo catback and Livernois 93 octane tune. Wasn't too happy

Since then, I've added lighter wheels w/ 275 tires, LS7 MAF and a Pat G tune. That might be enough to get me into the 12's back in the Midwest but not out here.

This spring, I'll be putting in a Crawford cam, heads and manifold work, LT headers and some Camaro gears. Not sure what to expect but I realize 1/4 times are bad up here so am looking for more of a torque/street monster to have fun with.

Thank you for posting your time. I hope you get what you want out of it out here.

It would be interesting to see what your current mods would net. Are you planning on getting your new mods done before spring?

Along with a set of sticky tires, your upcoming mods should get you into the twelves.

Hopefully we will see you at the track this year.

Btw, cool vanity plate!

Stock, I ran [email protected] at Bandimere.

Just had a mild cam installed and made 377/360 to the wheels. Hoping to be in the 13s this year.

I'll probably run the car as is right away in the spring to get a base, so I can see what the mods do for the car as I start to install them afterwards, later in the spring.

Interesting jpollard, I got my car dynoed here in the Springs on 11/1/13 at Revolutions Performance and got 363/385, funny how different dynos are.

You've got long-tubes, so you're going to see a lot more torque. I should be over 400 at the wheels for both hp and tq with the addition of headers.

Have fun with the car, and the mods. Be warned... it becomes addictive!

Don't have LT's yet, just Kook mids.

I was surprised to see you don't have headers yet, especially w/ a cam. Do u have a cai?

At jpollard, 14.3 and mph is impressive, faster than my stock LS1. Thank you for posting.

Times and mods are in the signature. If you are wanting better times, you want to go to Pueblo. If you want a track that is better prepared for drag racing, Bandimere.

'09 SBM GXP A6...CAI, Headers & Exhaust, mild cam. - 13.04 at 106.34MPH at Bandimere,
'08 IOM G8 GT...CAI, Cam, Headers, Tune, NOS -11.80 @ 122.2 MPH in Pueblo.
'11 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe
'99 Grand Prix GTP...some mods...Best ET was a 12.80 at Bandimere,
'94 T/A VorTek Super Charged & NOS - Best ET 10.2, quickest MPH 134.9 & still street legal!

I ran @ bandimere a few times my best and average was 14.4 @101mph. That was with a K&N cai, muffler delete jpipes and a superchips flashpak tune... this winter I added pacesetter LT headers, xpipe high flow cats, and flowmaster super 44's also professional tune at J&S performance so hopefully be in the 13's this next season... I have '08 MGM GT

Bandimere 7/9/14

I made my best run out of 4 at 6:03 PM last night July 9th, my ET was 13.909, MPH was 102.28. My 60' time was 2.288. I don't have my slip with me (my wife just sent me these numbers) so I don't have my RT but will list that a little later. I have to improve my RT and 60' ET to get the times this car is capable of. Had a blast on my 60th Birthday!

RT won't help your ET, clock starts when you break the line, not when the light turns green. Getting that 60' below 2.00 will help you

I'm pretty new to the 1/4 mile racing and appreciate the information and advice. I know I have the get a lower 60' time but thought the clock stated on green. I know I can get a lower 60' # as I've been a little reluctant to launch at a higher RPM that I probably can. I'll keep going after this a little harder as I get use to pushing the car/set up.
