Brake line repair..need help

So I was installing stainless steel brake lines. Two of the nuts that connect the hard line to the rubber lines were junk. I need to replace those nuts. As far as I can tell it's an M10x1.0 thread pitch into the brake line and then I don't know what is the actual size of the hard brake line. I can't seem to find the proper nut to put on the hard line. I assume the way is to find the proper nut, install it on the line and flare the end. Or could I get away with using brake and compression fittings? Any help would be appreciated greatly.
