Normal or excessive piston wear?

This is my #7 piston i pulled out, it had a bad rod bearing. I haven't mic'd it or the bore yet, i was just surprised on the side skirt wear.... the hole is a lil scored but i think would clean up.

We obviously know that there are many variables here. But that wear is definitely excessive. The additional clearance added by the bad rod bearing could have caused a severe oiling issue on that cylinder, resulting in that skirt damage.

I've also seen this in extreme high horsepower cars where the rear two cylinders get a lot warmer than the front 6 cylinders, resulting in piston growth, but I don't think that was the case here.
