6-Piston Brembo Upgrade

Hey Everyone,

I'm getting all of the parts together for a Brembo install on all corners including 6 pots up front. I've been looking through all of the older threads about it but I wanted to ask if someone could double-check my parts list just to make sure I didn't miss anything. Here is what I have so far:

Front

Calipers
ACDelco 172-2488
ACDelco 172-2487
Rotors
ACDelco 177-1105
Hardware
ACDelco 18K2108X
Caliper Bolt
GM#11611085
Brake Line Kit
Russell 692210
Pads
Hawk HPS HB649F.605

Rear

Calipers
ACDelco 172-2486
ACDelco 172-2513
Rotors
ACDelco 177-1190
Hardware
ACDelco 18K1970X
Caliper Bolt
GM#11570788
Brake Line Kit
Russell 692210
Pads
Hawk HPS HB194F.570

A lot of these parts were referenced in older threads so my questions are
1. Is everything compatible and am I missing anything?
2. Are there any newer options that I should know about?

Thanks!

The PN identified for caliper bolts for the front is something to re-visit.

G8 used 12mm fasteners front & rear. The 6-piston Brembo front calipers use 14mm (M14x2.0) bolts - there are several different PN's to be evaluated.

In addition, front knuckles will require the bolt holes to be enlarged for the 14mm bolt shank.

That's the one thing that sticks out in your plan, at least for me.

You're right about the bolt. I believe what I need is GM part# 11611085.

I also suggest you look at PN 11570092 and compare specs with the above bolt.

11611085 - Alpha Camaro (2nd design calipers)
M14x2x45mm

11570092 - 11-17 Caprice PPV <<<this worked on my PPV Brembo conversion
M14x2x51mm

11570788 - SS sedan
M14x2x56.5mm

There's no "exact" part, since this is a conversion with a parts combination that never was production-based. The bottom line is it's better to have a bolt that's too long and shorten it, if necessary, than to have a bolt that's too short and/or fails to engage all of the threads on the caliper mounting boss.

All of the Brembo rear calipers mount using 12mm bolts. As noted in last post, this bolt is 14mm.

Here's a post from the New Caprice Forum that provides more bolt info:
