GXP diffuser damage: Can it be fixed?

As I have documented over the last 6 months,my wife had a wreck in her G8. It has been a crappy experience getting it fixed right. Total hackery.

I had posted here before about finding some DEEEP gouges on our GXP diffuser. I should've pushed the issue and made either the wrecker driver or the body shop pay for it. I was just sick of the whole ordeal so I bought another diffuser.

I finally installed the new diffuser last night. I took some pictures of the old one. I was wondering if this could be fixed somehow, and made to look halfway decent? I am open to selling it as is btw. I kinda kicked around keeping it for a spare too though.

I just have to say it cracked me up when I got the new diffuser. It came in a box the size of a small coffin, but the whole thing was about as light as air.

It can be repaired and the surface re-textured. But it would cost more to repair than to replace. Unless it was no longer available, it has minimal value in that condition

It's a good candidate for painting.

Sold and will be missed.

Actually probably a good candidate for some black plasti-dip. Wouldn't hurt to try.
